I bought a block and tackle with a tarp to he lp me raise my girl into a wagon and move her to a truck.
You have the cutest alpacas❤❤❤
Lost Alpacas 11 July 2024 "They're always looking for new ways to die," Ad we who owned them have to wonder, why? We cherished them; they did not lack for love And for alll that they made trouble of. Perhaps they were too new to this our nation, And other livestock cause them consternation: New diseases, parasites and stresses We cannot ward off with our soft caresses. Are they eager for their souls to fly Back to the regions holy, way on high From whence they came, as told in Incan lore? They have a purpose here, for us to adore. Alpacas, you would leave but you must stay You can't manipulate your dying da! Suicide is sin, I have to say. "From the surly bonds of earth" don't stray, But please do not think alpacas are unkind If sometime they may leave us behind.
Sudden Departures Seven Eleven 2024 Alpacas die fast. One day they seem to be fine, The next they are gone. Alpacas hide pain. We say they are stoic. They're a prey species. Weat ones get eaten first. We are the predators. We show our feelings. Death is such a shock. Wasit from a broken heart? Our hearts are broken. To own alpacas We must be prepared for this (But we never are).
Alpacas are a money pit. They are NOT cute and cuddly, and can even be aggressive and dangerous. Speaking from experience.
Hi, Love your videos, i am very interested in starting my own herd, i have 4 acres of good grassland adjacent to my house, recently fenced with running water and a new field shelter, would love to have a chat and possible pick you brains a bout best way to get started. Thanks, Richard.
Silvopastures is what used to be far more normal then nowadays but it's making a comeback if you search youtube you can find various videos on same. Having shade for any type of livestock is important for them and the grasses in the heat of summer and the harshness of winter. Thanks for sharing this great video. :)
How much it cost each please with shipping

Absolutely gorgeous 😊

How do you keep them from always putting there feet in water?
Good question. We had a couple of alpacas that would do this frequently, damaging the troughs and getting the water dirty. We investigated to see if there were any medical conditions that they were trying to resolve, such as mites, but both were fine. It turned out they were hot and looking to cool down. So we build them a small pond. Very shallow, but enough for them to sit down in and cool off. This has worked perfectly. No more broken of muddy troughs. I hear from other breeders that mites can be an issue though, so worth looking into, if you think your alpaca are doing this for other reasons.
@@alpacaguild Thank you for responding, We live in very south texas. VERY Hot. we have been told trying to cool down. I was told that if they always have a place get wet that thier fleece can be damaged, what are you thoughts on this?
Procuro alpacas para comprare
I've had alpacas for over 30 years. I absolutely love them.
you're so lucky its my dream to have them one day do they poop a lot and are they pellets lol
Crazy that your videos don't have more views, given the quality of content, friendliness of your alpacas, sound, video and editing. I only stumbled upon the channel because I was searching for alpaca videos uploaded recently. Maybe you're missing some tags/keywords or whatever is relevant to improve search engine optimization.
Thank you for your kind words. I’ve taken your ideas onboard and I’m working on tags, keywords and anything that’ll help. I really appreciate your feedback 👍🙂
Why spit
Fortunately they only spit at each other as a way to define hierarchy. Often this is when coming together over food. However as humans, it’s easy to get in the way. It can be smelly, but it’s rare in a happy herd. Thank you for your question 😊
I'm a new alpaca owner in Canada. So appreciate your videos. Really helpful as I navigate this new venture.
Thank you for your kind feedback. You’re embarking on an amazing journey. If there’s something you would find useful, feel free to mention it here and I’ll try to cover it in a future video.
Thank you. Such beautiful animals.
Thank you ❤
Just when you make eye contact with an alpaca and feel cool...he will spit on you. How rude.
Wonderful video, thank you. I love following you and your farm Very kind videos
Thank you so much.
Why don’t you shear at the same time
Hi Janet Many alpaca owners will have their entire herd sheared at the same time. But for those breeders with hundreds, or many hundreds of alpaca, shearing might happen over two or more sessions. Some owners will shear their alpaca themselves, so the shear dates could all be different. Normally though, shearing is done at the same time. Great question. Thank you 😊
Hello John Felix here, absolutely amazed by your content you know so much about Alpacas what a fantastic TH-cam channel you have keep up the brilliant work and looking forward to seeing more, I absolutely love this 😃😃😃!!
Hi Felix. Thank you so much for the kind feedback. I take my inspiration from you and your awesome channel. I see you have over 600 subscribers now. Wow. Keep up the great work. I enjoy watching them.
@@alpacaguild Oh bless you John, thank you. I'm really enjoying watching your videos on management with the Alpacas and have learnt a lot from you. Iv'e just watching your newest video aswell and of course iv'e dropped a thumbs up. keep this awesome content coming. Love it 😁😁😀😀

This was delightful
Thank you. It was a lot of fun to create :)
Awwwwww Babyyyyy. My heart just melted.
I will try to include more alpaca cuddles in future videos. They are truly adorable.
Thank-u. You filled my heart with so much joy when you talked about recues. Blessing to you and your farm for all you are doing and for reaching out education to the public. I hope to one day own 2 Alpacas and 2 Llamas (but i need cria's old enough to be weaned from the mamma to start with) to train them to be therapy animals for children and adults. I am learning these animals on hand at 2 alpaca and llama farms so i can give these beauty's the best care possible. I do love the 2 alpacas that are giving you love and kisses. These animals can be so gentle, loving and caring and ohhhh so soft.
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I hope you get to enjoy owning alpaca and llama and helping to bring happiness to others through therapy. Your enjoyment from these videos will give us the energy to keep making them.
I jealous. I want to give her some attention. OMG. Beautiful.
Thank you for this!! 😁

Hi, out of interest, which part of NZ are you in ? (We’re in north Auckland and thinking of getting a few alpacas ) cheers for the videos
Welcome to the channel and thank you for the feedback. I’m in the Wairarapa, north of Wellington, where we have a great community of Alpaca owners, breeders and enthusiasts. There are many in your area too. An upcoming video will be looking at choosing your first herd, so hopefully there will be some tips and ideas you’ll find useful. If there is something specific you’d like to see covered, I’d be very happy to look into it. John
