Lovely Ep and awesome area old fellow, Gee the old red girl is looking good,
thanks ... she is not so good up close though. ... lol
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 Shes great gets you were you want to go, Just cover her Headlights when you go into WA so you get to stay awhile , Our old 80 series the wife and I painted her, she is wild to,
Lovely clip, But be the last time I watch it. As if I know a Channel has a intro I just fast forward it, But others may like it,
it should only show up to unsubscribers ... maybe something wrong or it shows up as a normal upload then becomes like all the other episodes.
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 Ok righto sorry about that,
A chainsaw for this area is advised so many wet soaked dead trees and high winds …be careful it’s not a giant stinging tree 😉
Lovely Ep and area and critters old fellow, I think 99% of the sharks were shovel nosed Rays, Holy you put the hubs in and used 4wd, HaHa
needed 4wd with my tyres at full pressures ... lol
Lovely Ep and bit of maintenance on the old girl, Nice work, Gee after seeing your gearbox magnetic plug oil colour, I be checking both diffs as well and the transfer case oils, where you stayed is only 20 to 30 minutes away from were I live at Cooroy
the gearshift rubber is ripped so and deep water allows water in ... its a problem
can i tow a small caravan in. Thanks You have some great Videos.
Easy to get to with a bitumen road to the front and a gravel drive up to the level spots on the right.
209! Eps great eposide mate :) keep them coming. We really enjoy your content.
Thanks for your comments and for watching. Appreciate it.
Lovely ep and flash setup with your compressor
When it works its pretty awesome ... it takes around 5 mins total for all 4 tyres compared to 1 1/2 hours for my old 12V pump that keeps overheating ... big tyres suck when it comes to pumping them back up.
Next time try sodium silicate
Take the thermostat out, take the spark plug or glow plug out in the affected area and run for 30 minutes, this will properly seal the affected area head gasket. Do a visual inspection of the spark plug to see if it's wet , the wet one is the one you leave out because it takes the pressure off the sealer giving it time to cure and seal
Great content, as always! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
got a feeling your comment is on the wrong channel ....
Lovely Ep and fix up job on your lovely grass, Going great old fellow keep chipping away at them jobs,
repairs doing well ... the grass not so much ... lol
Happy bday mate sorry I’m a bit late! Great ep.
Thank you for the birthday wishes ... much appreciated
Lovely ep and tips on your 4wd,

Lovely Ep once again old fellow and great to see your keeping the old girl going, There is always something on them. to keep you on your toes checking, ,
it would be nice to not have something to do on a big trip ... lol

Great Video Shane. Keep well and maybe we will catch up again one day.
Thanks Bruce ... will definately see you around somewhere
You are without a doubt one of the most genuine, decent, generous and loveable blokes getting about. Proud to have you as a friend and the trips we have shared have been the source of some great memories. Here’s to getting back over to WA.
Thanks Brett but i think you were looking in a mirror when you said those things ... Happy to drop plans and join you for trips any time you get some time off!!
Lovely Ep and Q&A session, I hope you get your 4wd sorted, And get back traveling, Oh and HB old fellow
it was fairly confronting but its done now.
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 Oh well what does not kill you makes you stronger they say.
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 Oh well what does not kill you makes you stronger the say, Not one question on psi your running in the Patrol and Kws to the back wheels,
@@craigtomkinson2837 no one asked ... buts its stock standard with a 3" exhaust so from memory thats 111Kw at the flywheel
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 Ok Cool sounded like she was opened up a bit,
Another lovely ep and area old fellow. I keep saying it gee your hard on your gear, But you seem to get yourself out of trouble, So good work, And I will say it again that's why I put my hubs in and drive in 4wd high range as soon as I get on rougher dirt roads or tracks and let some air out my tyres for a softer ride. As it puts the power through the hole drive train not just the back diff, I know the Nissans a way stronger than my 80 series that's why I do it. But I have never done a back or front diff or a wheel bearing or uni joint, or transfer case or gearbox in 42 years of driving my own 4wds and I am normally Towing something either a 5m tinny or a Windup Van loaded. Not sure if I have said We have a TH-cam channel to if you want good laugh check in out { Tomkinson Productions | its rough as guts but no BS it got my solo travels and some tips and fam travels,
Yeh ... i must admit i'm very hard on the gear and it doesnt help treating her like that after half a million Kms ... keen to check out your channel now :)
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 No worries, I love watching what you get upto, We are a bit the same except I fish and hunt you go bush more, Our old 80 got nearly 900,000ks on here,
Lovely Ep and fix up job, Gee you hard on your gear, Old Fellow.
yeh i am ... luckily its not a new car or it would be dead by now ... lol
That is why we love our Toyota's...............They fix themselves
makes it hard to fix and damages your trust... lol
Hey mate, great review... can i ask what brand of rocker switches they are as i am about to purchase the same switch panel and are they dual illuminated Thanks
To be honest i can't remember the brand but they were just ones i sourced from Ebay. I think ARB sell some as well as Narva and quite a few others ... there are heaps of brands that fit the same holes.
Lovely ep and place old fellow, They look like shovel nosed Rays or shovel nosed sharks to me, there pretty harmly compared to bull sharks, How your Motor going you get it all fixed up and what was wrong with the old girl, other than a cracked head maybe
Motor has fixed itself but no way am i going to trust it ... no bubbles in radiator, no over pressurising , no running hot... will still get around to changing the motor one day ... Gearbox is working perfectly again after the oil change and a bit of running in to get the selectors to slide properly. still have to replace the bent front diff housing as well. so only need to swap motor, gearbox, transfer case and front diff housing and i should be good to go ... lol
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 Haha not much at all then, its only money, I got to do a fair bit of work on our 1990- 80 series before I go north next year, fine to run around home but,
Lovely Ep and series in that area old fellow, , Gee I though you put Chem weld in your radiator and left it there, flushing it out defeated the purpose of putting it in, Anyway you are properly home with the motor rebuilt by now and the old girl running great I hope.
problem with the Chemiweld was it didn't work so if i had left it in and the water level got below the radiator tubes the chemiweld would seal them up
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 Ok i put some in our 80 series years ago before I put the new head on I used the same Coolant and water with the new head never gave any dramas,
Lovely ep and spots old fellow how cool were them river crossings of rock.
its an awesome drive through it !
Looks like you got the cracked head all fixed up? Cheers
sadly no
Lovely Ep and spots old fellow
Thanks, glad you enjoyed
Cool ep
thanks for checking it out
You should have had the radiator cap fully closed , as the pressurised the cooling system to fill the crack or gap under pressure . No pressure except for combustion may have pushed it out of leak and not in . Just my way of thinking , i could be wrong .
I'm guessing the pressure pushed the Chemiweld out of the cracks which is why it didn't work
I dont get the logic, clearly you have piston or oil pressure pushing into the cooling system. Chemiweld is good on the coolant system, but cannot penetrate through where the pressure is coming from. I dont know if there is a fuel or oil additive you can add to your oil or fuel(chambers) Chemiweld would work good if you had water in your oil or piston. Head gasket is your best case scenario.
@@doscwolny2221 yeh the Chemiweld did not work for me in my situation.
It's not the gas canister that gives out when it's freezing cold. It's the little regulator on the gas burner itself it has to be warm to work correctly. I generally put hot boiling water over everything then put my windshield around it so he can still breathe and keep the heating. The hot water is usually inside a thermos flask but enough to warm the regulator element so you can get the fire going and cook breakfast
Thanks for watching and thanks for the tip.
Cracked head, would it be possible to replace only the head and head gasket? You said you had to replace the motor, does that mean you're gonna replace the entire engine?! (sorry English is not my native tongue so especially automotive terms can get really tricky to know what you mean)
I have another motor in my old competition truck that has half the Kms and new injector pump, injectors and clutch so will use that.
Look for a product called Dyna-Grip Seal Tite Coolant Sealer, it's a great product. Flush the system and add it but put the Radiator cap on all the way, I've had really good results with this and it won't block up the Radiator
my problem is the radiator is getting pressurised by the cracked head and it either blows the hoses off and has actually warped the radiator ... so in my case it needs replacing the head or motor.
Lovely ep and update old fellow I hope you get it sorted,
Still working on it ...
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 Oh well lest you got home to work on it
Yates Crossing is Day Use Only. It was good years ago before the lease wad handed back to the Government, now National Parks have taken it over :(
Another lovely ep to some lovely spots
Thanks, glad you liked it.
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 No worries you always find some lovely spots
lovely ep and spots old fellow gee you get around,
glad you enjoyed my travels like i do
Do you still remember which number of camp site you stayed? Cheers
I think it was site 8 but don't quote me on that
Lovely ep and handy gadgets, do you have a Canvas bag for your Camp ovens, I only bought one myself last year. Pity you where not a fisherman I could see you camped at penny for weeks
i use a cut down 20 litre bucket to sit the camp oven in to prevent the soot going everywhere but i dont have a bag for it.
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 lovely stuff
Lovely Ep and spots you keep finding, Hope you get your 4wd sorted you mite need some radiator stop leak, there good ones that do not clog up everything, How I test if your Vicus hub is stuffed I take the 4wd for a good hard run get the Donk up to operating temp then I pull up, and pop the Bonnet and shut the donk off if the fan free spins after the donk is stopped the hub is stuffed, Might be leaking in your heater radiator and going out the Condenser overflow pipe when driving along,
Thanks, i did try Chem-i-Weld in a future episode.
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 No worries, I hope you get your lovely 4wd sorted out
Will it work better if the engine was running??
The risk of electrical spikes damaging electronics is pretty high if you do that so not a good idea.
Not enough volts .
nope...even 19v is enough,, welds perfect
3 batteries would be better ... if you had 3 batteries
nice work MacGyver!
thanks ... lol
Lovely Ep and job and great tips Old fellow, I been using two batteries to weld for at lest 40 years and found the 2mm rod spot on to, I carry the leads and mask and chip hamer with me on every trip, , I first seen the Idea in Ron and Viv Moons Cape York book I've welded up many things over the years, How you finding the Itecworld Cracking Batteries and what model are they I looked at buying them
I have two ITech 1420CA PRO batteries under the bonnet but it looks like they no longer sell them. been awesome so far though.
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 Thats unreel that would cost you a pretty penny, How long you had them ,
@@craigtomkinson2837 3 or 4 years i think ... cost about a 899 each.
@@aussiewalkabout4x4 I was going to buy one but never had stock,
Hey, enjoyed this video about Gun Point. My parents went to Gun Point to find fossils and they found heaps of fossilised crayfish on the beach there. Apparently it’s known as Fossil because also. Some great stuff from this beach
glad you enjoyed it
Lovely Ep and spot that Gunn point looks lovely, Thanks for sharing, , I do a lot of Solo travels to, but I tow my 5m tinny I never stay near towns as to many Ice holes live near them i free camp out in the bush, And in QLD and the NT I carry my rifle, as back up,
yep, being away from towns make touring so much better !! 😎
That water was super clear…. Seems fun…. Nice video
thanks and glad you enjoyed.
