S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: The Underappreciated Classic
GSC Game World spent countless years churning out nonstop strategy games. Though they discovered success in the industry for their bombardment of Cossack games, nothing would compare to the success they would achieve with S.T.A..L.K.E.R..

Dead Space 2: The Perfect Sequel
มุมมอง 4.6K21 วันที่ผ่านมา
Dead Space is an unforgettable survival horror experience. To this day it has one of the best atmospheres in gaming and everything from its sound design to its visuals are timeless. Dead Space is a game that deserved a follow up that both expanded on old ideas and brought new innovations to the table, and that's exactly what it got with Dead Space 2.
Silent Hill 2 (2024): How to Modernize A Classic
มุมมอง 1.8Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Silent Hill 2 is a horror icon. From its terrifying monsters to its gut-wrenching story the popular sequel is unanimously regarded as the greatest Silent Hill game to date. When a remake was announced, many were skeptical of how well it would be able to capture the essence of the original version. Needless to say, Silent Hill 2 (2024) went above and beyond these expectations.
Dead Island: The Outdated Classic
มุมมอง 16Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Dead Island is a polarizing game to talk about. Though some still see it as a zombie game classic its nowhere near as timeless as some would have you believe. From the gameplay, to the visuals to everything in between, Dead Island has shown its age for several years now. To put it bluntly, Dead Island is outdated.
The Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Is A Mixed Bag
มุมมอง 9K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Deluxe Remaster attempts to capture the magic of the original and in some aspects it does, and in others it doesn't. Despite all the hype around this remaster its difficult to say it translates everything from the 2006 version perfectly. Its not all bad though as the game does have some high points and elements of its own, but was this enough to warrant a remaster?
Dying Light: The Timeless Classic

Dying Light has reached legendary status when it comes to zombie games. During a time that was incredibly dull for zombie games Dying Light stood out for trying something new and actually succeeding. With the recent announcement of Dying Light: The Beast I thought it would fun to replay this classic and discuss why it still holds up as well as it did nearly 10 years ago.

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City is one of the most forgettable entries in the series for a lot of people so I wanted to dive into it and see if this spin off really is as bad a people have claimed. turns out it is. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster: Our Last Hope

Just when we thought Dead Rising was nothing but a forgotten memory in the back of Capcom's mind, they completely caught us off guard with the sudden announcement of a Deluxe Remaster for the first Dead Rising game that's coming out later this year. The trailers and developer interviews surrounding the game gave us a few clues on what to expect and there were also a few things that weren't expl...

Dead Rising 3: The Forgotten Sequel

I've talked about the Dead Rising series so much on this channel and I thought it was finally time to talk about the underappreciated third installment. Dead Rising 3 tends to slip the minds of fans, probably because it's not as great as the first 2 but isn't as infamous as the terrible 4th game. Despite it being somewhere in the middle, Dead Rising 3 has a lot of great elements that fans tend ...

While many people may think that The Walking Dead Destinies was the biggest travesty the franchise has ever seen, honestly I think that achievement goes to The Walking Dead Survival Instinct. Whoever green lit this game needs to face some sort of prison time.

I can't decide how I feel about FEAR. While the AI is impressive and the combat is enjoyable, the lack of any sufficient and long lasting horror in the game made me wonder why Monolith Productions bothered making it a horror shooter in the first place.

This is a good game, the problem a lot of people had was after act 4, you couldn’t just quit because the game wouldn’t save anymore. After act 4 you had to keep playing the game until you finished it. I wish the A.I. was smarter & the maniacs that were in the previous game’s weren’t the same. I think you’re being too hard on the game. The world is not depressing at all, it’s a cool open world without a crappy time limit which sucked in all the previous games.
There's something called hindsight effect, it's like saying tony hawk pro skater one was bad because it didn't have manuals like two, generally boring I do agree but a say it's a 50/50 game it brought a lot to the table, but lacked in some areas
Bro 😎 both of the games are good but the second one was a good sequel but it may be harder but its way less repetitive
Love the RE5 reference
Love your videos except for the British guy
I loved this game when I was younger... I know it's not great now, but I still have nostalgia for it.
Bro’s predíceted the future 💀
i'd listen to my chemical romance with ezgi any day
Micheal Rookers acting is probably some of his career best in TWD awkwardly enough cause that whole shows acting is dodgy af
Fun fact, you can slide and kick at the same time, making zombies at times go farther, or break bones easier!
This game was good.
Forgotten?
now have you joined a 20+ madness server? That is some crazy experience.
I love sod2 but it just doesn’t have the dark and gritty atmosphere the first had if feels very cartoonish
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤😂😂😂 13:14 13:14 13:15
My only problem with this sequel is they got rid of Boarding up windows to slow down zombies
Hah, today I did the wrap of recent year and it turned out, you were my favorite youtube channel :D can't wait for more content
Old video but for those new to the game. Tutorial mode isnt entirely useless, it gives you a starting weapon (weak) and a couple freebie supplies, but the crown jewel of tutorial mode that the game doesn't directly tell you is that you can farm the stamina stat here without fear of being interupted by zombies or fatigue. Takes minimum 10 minutes and you can have maxed stamina stats for your starting character which is very helpful in the start as stamina is the most important stat aside from health as you will be fighting alot when you dont have a decent gun right off the rip. Oh and your health and fatigue doesnt accur in tutorial mode so you can train as long as you want as timr stands still until you complete the tutorial.
I do not agree this is the definitive way to play the game, personally I'm not a fan of the pacing and aside from Eddie I'm not a fan of how they handled the sections with the other characters. I think this remake is perfectly good, a solid game on it's own and not even a fully "bad take" on SH2 but certainly one I don't feel is as interesting or thought provoking. The original game is certainly no perfect work of art, but I'd be lying if I said I felt this remake captured the full feel of the original. I think it very much is just a more modernized updated take on the game, and it does that well. But when it comes to additions not just tweaks it falls flat a bit for me. There's a few new scenes you can argue about if it adds or subtracts but I do genuinely think in some instances it's needlessly drawn out with some sections really dragging on and missing some of their original impact. This is a good game, and even a good remake, but I would absolutely never feel comfortable putting it above the original and only really putting it on par with it under the caveat that they were made with two completely different end goals. One to be more widely appealing to the mainstream, which is fine, and one simply to get people talking and thinking in the way a raw piece of art can only do. If I sound pretentious, by no means am I saying one is better than the other I think it's fine to have entertainment crafted to be accessible but I do think for me SH2 original is one of those rare cases where something less worried about being accessible and just telling it's story without any fat struck a coard with me and many other players over the years.
All my homies hate ezgi
OP is a coward for deleting my comment. Downvoted + Doom 3 sucks
It was forgettable and most of the game is just gray corridors that all look the same. It really can't hold a candle to either the classic Doom games, or the new ones, which are excellent. It was a swing and a miss, and this is the reason why it's being forgotten. It even takes forever to get the game started at the beginning. Walk around the base, talk to that guy, talk to this guy, go there, do this... every other Doom game starts you off with a weapon in hand, and you're shooting at stuff within the first 5 seconds
This game is really good don't listen to these British skibidi toilet kids talking shit the game is meant to be played on the Xbox 360! Mungo is the type of guy to join ur faction on dayz and then talk shit and pick apart everything you do.
The 9 to 5 he was referring to at minute mark 3:36 is DAYZ
everyone hopping on the stalker bandwagon, a beautiful sight.
Somewhere I had photo of Chernobyl’s giant catfish which was 5 meters long 😂. Pretty big fish in my opinion. But , let’s return to the game. S.T.A.L.K.E.R series were great. And the setting is legendary among all ex-Soviet countries. There were so many book series written in S.TA.L.K.E.R. universe and It was and is so popular, that at a time like from 2007 to 2015 it was as popular as Harry Potter. I have 3 bookshelves filled with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. books. In terms of popularity it was closer to Lord of the Rings, maybe not that popular, but for some time it was surprisingly close to it. More recent fact about Chernobyl Zone in real life: in 2022 Russian army tried invading through it. But quickly retreated because they were stupid enough to dig trenches there and that granted them radiation sickness. Not so many years have passed since the explosion to dig there or use heavy machines(like tanks for example) that would dug into the ground with their tracks and throw irradiated dust and ash with dirt into the air. Also they choose really bad location to stay there, the Red forest(2nd most irradiated place in Zone in real life).
My brother in the zone ,If your gun kept jamming then you never repaired it. If your gun was inaccurate then you never upgraded it.
Try to upgrade and repair in the original game
Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers and Robbers.
Well Stalker 2 being made would go against it being an underappreciated hidden gem. Seems mighty convenient too that you're just so happening to cover this series right when the new game is about to release. Are you grifting mate? Nothing too special about your review either it just repeats what everyone else has said over the last decade.
Классика? Не, я б так высокого не ставил ТЧ. А вот ту же ЗП, например, можно смело вписывать в классику. Гойда, братья.
since i moved to another country cos of political reasons this is the only game that when i play it, it brings me back to my homecountry my hometown all my friends the place where i lived its like a mosaic of my life but i can actually play it and it has a special place in my heart
Same.
Underappreciated? You are off your shit if you think that lol
10:45 It's actually explained by the lore why stalkers come into zone and stay there, despite dangers and low chances of survival
Wanna try yer hand at some Zone Sportsmanship Challenges? 5:35 The equivalent Western term is "tracker" (as in "wilderness trackers"). 7:35 In other words, you have to be less like John Rambo and more like John McClane. 8:18 Pistols are only good for hunting snorks for sport, and that's only if you enjoy the sport of hunting snorks with a pistol. The idea is to go for headshots. It forces you to train your precision with iron sights. You can also do it with rifles. I call it "safari style" (but only with iron sights which is authentic to safari-style hunting since it keeps your peripheral vision open and your focus unobstructed so you can adapt on the fly). 9mm pistols, whether Makarov or Parabellum, might take two headshots to down some snorks, whereas a .45 will always put them down for the count with one headshot. At least, that's how it works in 'nilla ShoC v1.0006. Most rifles will down a snork with one headshot, but the AKS-74U is an exception. As with 9mm pistols, it usually takes two. This can differ with mods. 9:14 Try it with iron sights. It's more intuitive. Granted, I use a trackball, so tactile sensation definitely plays a part. It has to be a symmetrical trackball or it won't feel right. 9:18 Buckshot is the cure for pseudogiants in 'nilla ShoC. In the other Zone games, and in mods based on CoP (including but not limited to Anomaly), it's 40-mils. 9:30 Some of us old-school zoners call them "fleshpigs" just to remind ourselves that they're pigs. 10:40 Where most see chaos, some see opportunity. 11:37 Bes's philosophy is the most practical, and his micro-faction of fellow vigilantes fights for a true People's Justice. They're idealistic yet pragmatic "men of balance," avoiding the dual extremes of Freedom's licentiousness and Duty's rigidity. 13:09 In my headcanon, that story continues with the Marked One being found by scientists and taken back to Professor Sakharov where he agrees to have at least one of his eyes transplanted with the bulging eyeball of a fleshpig. And yes, Professor Sakharov does talk about that, mentioning that fleshpigs can smell with their eyeballs (and that their eyeballs can regenerate), and he does ask if you'd like to be "the recipient of this amazing organ." 14:14 Homage to a scene from Andrei Tarkovsky's 'Stalker'. 14:31 There are mods that have a debug mode/spawn menu. They're perfect for creating insane Zone Sportsmanship Challenges of demented do0m a go go. 15:34 Most mods fix the LR-300's sights so they actually line up right. 15:43 Combine any bubble-head sci-guy suit with two Crystals and you're good on radiation protection. Add two Moonlights and you'll have unlimited stamina while not encumbered (and rapid stamina regen when encumbered). Add a Slug or Mica and you'll have rapid wound-healing for bleeding control. 17:32 Nos is the best-tasting energy drink. Imagine a Zone-themed energy drink with a fleshpig as a mascot. And it turns you into a fleshpig if you drink it! 🙃 Did you ever watch a movie called 'Street Trash' (1987)?
mind you, when you realise you can just quicksave by hitting F5 I imagine you'll be kind miffed
good video man! You're a good narrator, good sense of hmour and editing, subbed!
12:01 LMFAO, he litterally said "Nahhh, mate, put your gun away, then we'll talk". In STALKER series friendly and neutral NPCs won't talk to you with your weapon unholstered. Nice video, btw, cheers from Ukraine! P.S. You can Quick Save/Quick Load in this game. Check the key bindings ;)

I never ever remember any westerner even mentioning STALKER before 2014 and moreover I believe the reason they do so nowadays while poking fingers at STALKER 2 is because of the fancy late 10s mods like Anomaly, Misery and Gunslinger what reached hype peak because of the slav memes, tacticool genres on the rise like Escape from Tarkov and rise of post-punk doomerwave stuff. That's why I just feel awkward seeing the hype and can't really grasp whether I was wrong all along and saw shit differently throughout the years.
STALKER always had a big western fanbase on 4chan. The /k/ board basically converted a tons of users into fans.
@@ChucksSEADnDEAD 4chan is a very specific place and people. This is why I believe it represents neither scale of the fanbase nor player geography. The time factor is also at play, internet was way less before 10s, but since you're here on YT since 2007 (don't mind my creepy stalking) I guess you know what you are talking about. Point of view, distortion, you know. It's more about old players complaining about devs trying to reach new audience possibly ruining the legacy and not caring about the old players, except some additional regional bias from me since I never left my domestic post-soviet part of the internet during that time. When I did I precisely saw what I told above. It seemed niched enough compared to numerous fanbases divided by platforms and regions.
Why would you say such a word like "underappreciated" in the same sentence with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.?
The fact that he said “the AI are smart” indicates that he has not played the trilogy long enough to realize otherwise. Although, in Call of Pripyat it significantly approves.
its more true to say that the AI is dumb in unexpected ways. Like when it glitches out and freezes, and you're thinking "hah, they're too smart to just pile through the door one at a time" when in reality the enemy is just staring intently at a crate
@@IAMSEYMOURMUSIC oh so they're not pump faking to flank me, it's actually the pathing AI borking out and changing its mind.

Nah, it's an ass. The first time I play it, the zombies never stopped and keep nagging me that I get annoyed dealing with them.
