Buy a Fiskars for a third of the cost !
Bonding is shit in UK should use only lime plaster.
Wouls you choose this or estwing ?
😁👍
Are those parts also known as sway bar end links? With people calling things different things it may be hard for others to find what they need.
Yes I think so, or a drop link.
Where did you get the extraction bars
My wall sounds like half way between blown and solid. It's not even close to how hollow that sounds, and yet it's not a nice solid either
WHICH MODEL IS THIS???
Worst video
Why ?
No idea, will be checking out the old motor soon. Not sure what went wrong and how to fix a motor but I would love to give it a go.
Well done Solly. Maybe something further up the circuitry has burnt out the motor? May happen again?
It's a bit late but you can wind back the electric handbrake with a torx bit. I don't remember the size but all you have to do is take the plastic cover off the caliper and then wind back the torx screw inside. It should have a long travel so you know which way to turn, once it stops you can push the piston back
It actually weighs 3.3Lb, plus the haft.
1.5 Kg's is the Head's weight .
@@dakillah6018 Same as 3.3 Lbs in imperial weight measurement, yes.
Austin had one of these in Canley, in Coventry, UK. Heavy axe, but he had a swinging action, and a great technique. Used to like watching him. He was 65.
i enjoyed reading your comment .
Well helpful had exactly the same problem today ,I've ordered the extractors , should have it sorted tomorrow, thanks
This is why I'm reluctant to do mine, an easy job can turn into a nightmare
In future I think a protective layer of wd40 first..
Bit of wd40 on the under carriage. Only 12 hours later you can already see rust forming. Worth it for the terrain....
I was driving one handed this whole video, hence some.of the driving....
Dirties air filter I’ve ever seen !!
5160 steel!
I was given a MS170 by a friend who couldn't get it to run, and he just wanted to get rid of it. I cleaned it then emptied the old fuel & oil because he couldn't remember when it was put in. Filled with fresh fuel & oil, and fingers crossed I went through Stihls start procedure. It took a while but eventually I had it running. Next thing was to upgrade it - a dog was installed along with the side chain adjuster - it is a pleasure to use with the 14-inch bar & chain which suits our Australian hard woods. My MS251 with an 18-inch bar & chain does the heavy work. Stay safe.
In a similar situation. I think I'm just going to dig out the cracks and fill 😅
Not an anti roll bar it's a droplink
Just followed the video and changed mine - One thing of interest though, I couldnt just remove or replace the old and new links as the roll bar was in tension. I had to use a lever to flex the anti roll link so that I could remove and replace the links - might catch some people out
Once I had a kind of flat bar racing bike (which was sold as "fitness bike" in my local bike shop) It was fast and very appropriate for daily commuting in the city, but in general I prefer the comfort of the brakeshift-levers and for longer rides the possibility of diffent handpostion on the drop bar, so I gave it away. I don't know how much your position on the bike is affected when you just change the bar, but (even though it's not my choice) there is no reason why a flat bar bike shouldn't have some "racing qualities". Speed is comfort as long as you move your vehicle with your own muscle power. Very well done, good choice of components, will do it's job perfectly fine.
Looks right at home with flat bars. Well done.
Just a quick question did you get brake levers that are specific to dual pivot/caliper brakes? Most straight bar brake levers are v-brake type which have a different pull ration and will not give enough power. Some levers are adaptable to both types.
I didn't even check to be honest.
the first one was a monday axe :)))
I think HardWall is the best when down to the brick, and Bonding if not all the plaster is gone.
But why?
I just got bored of drop handle bars and it's harder to store in my cuboard. I prefer normal straight handle bars. More control for whipping around corners. This is more of a gravel bike type machiene now I suppose but still super efficient and fast.
List which engine..looks lime turbo diesel going off the rev counter!
I like that new fuel container that you got but when you're running the fuel out of the saw take compressed air and blow it out too that'll really helps
Happy for you it was fixed...
That was superb service. Glad you eventually got a good axe! 🪓
a you sure you weren't hitting stones on the ground with the follow through
Hitting the ground is a good way to ding the edge, yes. Factory grind could potentially have left a wire edge too which is easy to tear out. Like, polishing and stropping the edge after factory gets it right.
It's from the stones in the soil. Don't know what you expect smashing it in the ground. It is not a shovel!!
As I was watching the video, I was saying "That is a hatchet not a bloody shovel, keep it out of the ground". I also said "I wouldn't want to see what the edge damage will be after he has got that little pile of logs done."
G’day mate, great video, thanks for that. I’m thinking of putting a 16” bar and chain on mine as well. I have the 14” but it’s a bit small for what I want to use it for. It sounds like your carburettor is out of whack? Cheers 🍻
I think the carburettor on the MS170 is not adjustable.
@@blueyhanson6253 It probably needs cleaning, perhaps.
These saws usually need to be sharpened as I believe they don't come sharpened
You may want to consider thinning down the handle. You might observe some significant improvement in the handling of this awesome axe.
Watched it. Very interesting. Will keep practising
Do you have any info reference to stop start system fault battery seems ok and alternator is kicking out 14.7 v so charging ok
Voltqge is one factor...is it a stop start battery fitted?????
thats a big head but ur doing it wrong watch skillcults video on chopping and also blade is supposed to drive at least an inch each swing
It's very easy to move your hand away from the draining oil . Also, after you've changed the fuel filter, cycle the ignition key on and off several times without starting the engine to activate the fuel pump and fill up the new Filter. Alternatively , use a vacuum pump to suck fuel in the return valve for the same purpose.
Correction. The steel is 5160 steel. Not sure where I got 1081 steel from.
I do not split I cut it in half burn it vertically i have an American maul that would out split that all day long cost under ten bucks I know they saw you comming for the price of that item i had two old Craftsman large and small for a quarter of the handle s price !
Well lah-dee-freakin-dah
You can use a bicycle cable on a drill, it takes a bit of time but it can be done and then clear the faults. Job done!
Misleading terminology, its the turbo upstream pressure sensor. The differential pressure sensor for the DPF is not visible and is behind the engine connected to 2 rubber pipes
