After watching a number of these big equipment videos, I could never understand why invariably loads of large rocks were brought into shallow fill areas, such as this one while, sand and dirt are being brought into deep fill areas where the stones would be the best option there. The sand and dirt in the deep areas keep subsiding and falling away, sometimes taking trucks with this land sliding. Just the opposite of what is needed to be done is what they are doing. Can't understand this. Of course, I am just an old backseat driver, so what do I know? Then, in one long camera shots showing the roadway filled with at least 15 loaded dump trucks waiting in line to unload when only two can unload at a time and only one dozer that can hardly handle those huge blocks of stone, also taking up time.

great video! i love how you captured the process of building a home from the ground up. however, i can’t help but wonder if we should really be expanding more into nature like this. aren’t we risking ecosystems for just another house? just a thought!

Looks quite deep, still going to leave a void , ever going to have a real stable base. Hope no one's drilling for water around there in a few years , not good. There's a reason you clear cut that before you back fill that.😊
