Taking the body off is a big job. I skipped it mine needed same job i cut rear floorboards out as one peice on each side. I had some ranchero bed plate . Used cutouts for template cut and welded bedplate in. It was fun

1983 Volvo 245 quit on the road 10 miles from being started. Car was originally purchased with the towing package option, has automatic transmission and overdrive. I am 2nd owner, car always well cared for by Dad and me. Wiring harness was replaced long ago. B23F original engine, odometer 231,500 miles. Local mechanic replaced in-tank gas pump (again, the car quit due to a bad tank pump 15 years ago or so), it still wouldn't start, so we had it towed home. We replaced the fuel filter under the car behind driver (L side), old one was pretty clogged. It cranks fine, but a spark plug is dry when pulled. Flag fuse against L fender in engine compartment tests good. Timing belt replaced 4 years/8K miles ago. We tested the computer connector in passenger (R) footwell area per Bentley manual procedure, it passed all tests. "Noid" diagnostic light lights dimly when cranking, not much visible pulse, but test was done in sunlight. Can help?

I was just wanting to take the vortec 4.3 out and replace it with a 350 and keep the trans without buying to much sht . This is just more pissing money away. Was really hoping for some wiring trick that would make it act right. This is un rigging your own rig.

Hi I have lap all my valve in as you don, and turn the head and put paint thinners on the valve's to check for leaks, left it over night and the thinners is still there maybe gone down about 1mm but slightly wet in the exhaust ports, think that will be okay Thanks 👍
