Do you know if I need a vendors license to purchase a personal copy of my book? It took me forever to figure out the formatting process, and when I went to finally buy it an error came up and I’m trying to figure out why 😭

I'm currently in the process of getting the first third of my stories first draft printed as a personal keepsake reviewed -- This video answered the few questions I had left about the whole process! I obviously don't want to sell it, because it's far from a completed story--But, I'd like to have my entire draft printed out for reference later when I decide to rewrite the story in the future! Plus, it'll be fun to look at on my shelf.

My book comes out tomorrow, The Lutheran Chase. I haven't seen it in real person before, so I hope they have it at my local B&N stores tomorrow, after a few pre-orders from my family and friends. An amazing accomplishment for me in the last few years. Whenever I didn't do film photography, or hockey. I finally pushed myself for me to write my debut novel, in which I've learned from Brian Russell. I released my book through B&N as a pre-order, I learned from how to do it and finally come out as an rookie author. Thank you so much!

Fantastic video, thank you so much! I'm looking to make some keepsakes as Christmas presents for this year, and I couldn't make sense of B&N's margin information. I was going to buy Scrivener as well, but I found settings that will work in Apple Pages, so savings there too.

A movie is in production of this book. Not too sure how far into the production. On the author's website, it stated that covid postponed everything. I enjoyed the book. Definitely my area of interest.

And B&N's printers are better than mine, yes? Because my printer when I printed my cover for a binder version of my book for annotations was covered in lines.

I came up with the idea of making personalized children's books for my 4 nephews and nieces about the same age( 5-7). I wanted the book to tell a story about the (real-life) adventures we have done together such as zip-lining, hiking, pools, and ice skating, etc. Long story short, with the help of ChatGPT, I was able to prompt it to help me create a narrative for a kid's book based on the adventures I was providing. I used Canva Magic Media (their AI) to create images (cartoon-like and playful) based on the story I was telling. It came out so cute! Now you have helped me tremendously with the details, such as the blank pages and margins. I was afraid the pictures were going to print on the other side of the page and not side by side with the narrative. I have never in my life made a book. My nephews and nieces have inspired me and you guided me through this fun creative journey! Thank youuuu! Now ready to upload to Barnes & Noble Press!

Can you publish blank journals on Barnes & Noble?

I've watched four TH-cam reviews of the book and yours is the best. I saw the film on DVD a couple of years back and then bought the book. I have very recently re-watched the film 4 times (including 3 times in one week) and have nearly finished my second reading of the book. Elizabeth's letters are, as you say, so down-to-earth and so funny, often in a self-effacing or self-deprecatory way and I, too, have laughed out loud. The film adaptation has certain inevitable compromises when compared with the novel but has been brilliantly cast and stands on its own merits. I'm 75 and I would now place it in my all-time top ten films. I love the book so much, too, that I've ordered a second-hand copy of the hardback to sit alongside the paperback.

Who will give this barcode to us if we are self publishing our book

Hey, thanks for this video! I'm definitely looking to do this someday soon but have a question. Once you create your book does it mean that Barnes and Noble would then have the rights to the content in your book? Or would a person still be able to one day use their content to give to a different publisher to see is they will actually publish it? Also, could you possibly use the book you created as a manuscript to give to other publishers? I would appreciate any information you could provide. Again, thank you for this video. Hey there!! I was wondering if it would be okay to print a fanfiction using this method. I wrote the fanfiction myself, mentioned both on the cover and in the inside of the book that it is a fanfiction, and am not going to sell the fanfiction. I would just really like a physical copy of the book I spent so long writing! Can I get in trouble for this even with the precautions? (Also, great video!)

"the story as it is" is such an interesting way of putting it: there are authors who editorialize, and you think about those stories, and realize.... that's not really AS IT IS, because, well, they're editorializing, rather than giving it to you straight, moments at a time, unbothered by the meddling of opinions. it's interesting because this brings to mind questions about POV, how close the perspective is. particularly if it's third person, there is a spectrum; whereas, if it's first person, there's far less of a range of options for what one can do to make it work (in the traditional understanding of first person, anyway--one can go experimental to this end, but, if we're talking about a straightforward first person, you pretty much have to close in on your scene and also give the character's feelings about what happens in the scene).
