The Shores of Lough Bran
I found this song (as sung by Dolores Keane) while searching for songs from the County in Ireland where my grandfather grew up. He emigrated from Co. Leitrim to the United States at age 19, and only returned 70 years later, not long before passing. After stumbling across this gorgeous song about emigration, I also learned that County Leitrim is "the Irish county most depopulated by emigration."

Beautiful! There is a sensation in the piece of that solitude of the Voyager I you speak about, drifting through empty space, contemplating and floating in the silence that envelops the universe.
I could get lost in that beautiful solitude - and I find it so comforting knowing it's still out there right now carrying a little distilled bottle of humanity along with it.
