it's changed somewhat now, most of the land at Haydock is now built on! more units, bigger and bigger.

ithe bridg had a sharp bend in it yrs ago,the house opposite the supermarket was a pub at 1 time, and Clive from the groupthe Spinners lived in a bungalow on the opposite side of the road, there was an elderly man lived near there he was a stone maso on the Liverpool Catherdral he nice gentle person., Dr Pine had his surgery top of Queens ave, it was also a video sho then sold frozen foods. that where I crashed our car and demolished the other one, i couldnt eat for weeks I WAS THAT UPSET ABOUT IT.

5:11 the black Mk2 Vauxhall Astra to the right of the frame, I remember mid 2000s (about 2004 or 5) this had its window smashed and was all hotwired, doors open and didnt move for ages. We used to walk past it to go to the shop and always used to stop to look at it, I can always remember walking past once and seeing if it was open by pulling the handle ( I was only 10 or 11) and it was! Eventually it disappeared. Absolutely crazy that it's in the video!

I passed my test in 95 and remember the roads round Widnes being speedhump, chicane and speed camera free. Your driving a mk5/6 Escort by the looks of it..👌

Widnes is just as poo now (2016) as it was then!

It doesn't look like today, but Walton (1:24) - Salford (13:13) part was the first UK dual expressway, however with standard (instead limited access) junctions. Nevertheless, that's Imperial road engineering marvel. Opened July 1934. Thanks for sharing!

I haven't used a car wash in 18 years. Watching this footage, they still scare me. Think I'll stick to the DIY hand wash or Jet Wash!

i want to say thanks to W1DNE5 . i was born in widnes in 1969 and left the town for italy in 1980(my dad is italian) and i've been back only one time for a couple of days in 1998. my uncle has the ton'ys bistro in the center... thankyou and make a new vid (can you go thru lynton crescent, liverpool rd, kradlyrd, and the allsaints school? i will subscibe to your chanel and whait to see....
