The Eternal Night | Nosferatu 1922 Remake
"The Eternal Night" (by Beto Machado) is an evocative audiovisual piece that reimagines Murnau’s 1922 silent film, Nosferatu : A Symphony of Horror, through a contemporary lens. This creation explores the themes of absence and presence, seamlessly weaving the spectral with the tangible. The stark contrast of black and white imagery accentuates the haunting ambiance, where the interplay of light and shadow evokes a profound sense of fear and connection.
In this gothic and gloomy narrative, we follow the lonely Count Orlok, a living dead soul ensnared in his Transylvanian castle. Driven by a mysterious sign, he embarks on a poignant quest to reunite with his beloved Lady Orlanna in the Netherlands. The visuals, generated through AI, craft a retro alternate reality that bridges past and present, imbuing each frame with a timeless, eerie beauty and mystery.
Complementing the visual experience, the soundtrack features generative experimental ambient music produced with modular synthesizer by "Fantosh Flak". "The Eternal Night" premiered on June 8th 2024 at the "Nosferatu : Absent Presences and Digital Cultures Symposium & Concert", organized by Paulo C. Chagas, Nikolay Maslov and Christophe Katrib at UCR ARTS.

this is an original Rob Hordijk's standalone Benjolin kit, still alive and bleeping ... I built it in a workshop he gave 10 years ago in Den Haag... the smaller one is the Zeitgeist delay, it's a Rob Hordijk's project too, its one of those beautiful designs that seems to ignore the data sheet and sounds quite unique & wonderful ... Totally love those sounds …useless at building gear I have some modular but love that your gear is so compact and no patching just waddle knobs for wonderful sounds I have a oldish benjolin module that I use all the time

yes only both machines...! benjolin >> zeitgeist... it switches the output 'pre-delay' or 'post-delay', in fact it gives too different moods, sounds pretty musical ... ohh sorry for the 4 years delay answer ... 😸

yes , the switch enable the looping mode... it is very simple ... do you follow the rob hordijk schematics...?
@@fantoshflak2066 in the original rob schematics there isn't any indication of the loop mode...can you share?
@@cicherogabriel you just need a 2 position switch and do some soldering on the top and bottom legs of the BC 547 transistor... solder the middle pin and one of the end pins of the switch to the pin 1 and pin 3 of the transistor... leave the other end pin of the switch and the middle pin of the transistor untouched. That’s all!
