There is a sequel to The Long Dark in the works. It is titled "Blackfrost: The Long Dark II." I think it is due for release under early access some time in 2026. From what I gather it is set in the same environment as The Long Dark, but in a more urban setting. Apparently it will feature co-operative play. I'm looking forwards to it.

@@AngelinaSereni Ah. My misunderstanding. The title of the video was nothing to do with any game of the same name. In my case it is taken from Shakespeare. It's purpose was to reflect the much reduced population in the game world, and to be rather tongue in cheek.

@@AngelinaSereni No problem. I should really title the videos things like "The Long Dark: Part 7" or something, but as I mostly live-stream, I never really know what I'm going to be doing, and furthermore I'm rather amused that sometimes the rather whimsical titles I use can be prophetic.

I completely missed the meaning of this question :) I think using a stone ball bearing would constitute using a stone. I have no intent of trying to find out!

@candicraveingcloude2822 I did not know that about Maelstrom. I did initially propose reading the EULA / TOS more as a joke than anything else, but feedback did encourage me to go through the rest of the documentation. I've nearly finished unloading the last segments, though the live-stream is available, of course. Thank you for your kind remarks and the additional information, they are much appreciated.

Thanks for that explanation. Obviously I got completely the wrong end of the stick. I found it surprisingly difficult to keep my brain focused and thinking when reading and trying to understand the legalese.

@ShardsofInsanity yeah, it's certainly hard, I think you were coming to a similar conclusion a short while later, I'm only about 37 minutes in at this point, but it's funny where you mention needing to read the 3rd party policies, as they themselves contain 3rd party policies, so a "fun" (if that it's your idea of fun) exercise would be creating a web diagram of all of the terms of services which link to other service providers, so that you can see when one party mentions another party, just how many other companies would be 3rd parties to that 3rd party as well. Also my general rule of thumb, don't put stuff on the internet, even in private chats stuff you wouldn't tell/show a random person asking you on the street. While that is harder for sensors such as location, cameras, and GPS, I do try to keep them disabled whenever I do not need them.

@ShardsofInsanity I don't think anyone expects that when they actually read through it, which is a great indicator for if they did actually read through it.

As a fun aside, I did a search for that wording, and it does appear in other games EULAs too

I'm kind of considering doing more live streams and uploads of myself reading such documentation, so I shall look out for that.
