The Kenosha Fire Department is a full-time career department that responds to over 10,000 calls per year. The fire department operates out of 5 stations, has 156 employees and operates 32 pieces of apparatus. Our mission is to serve the City of Kenosha through the delivery of Emergency Services. This mission is accomplished by highly trained men and women who serve with pride, dedication and courage.
HISTORY
On March 8, 1851 the Kenosha Volunteer Fire Company was organized and incorporated under Governor Nelson Dewey. Since, the Kenosha Volunteer Fire Company grew and has continued to grow. The volunteer fire company eventually became the Kenosha fire department. Now, the Kenosha Fire Department is a full-time career Department that protects the lives and property of 99,841 citizens of the City of Kenosha within 25.43 square miles. As of 2021, the department responds to over 10,000 calls per year and operates out of 5 stations, with 156 employees and 32 pieces of apparatus.

Rise of the 12 Strong: Becoming Kenosha Firefighters - Part 1
In this first installment of our two-part series, we follow the journey of 12 new recruits, who call themselves the "12 Strong," as they embark on the intense path to becoming Kenosha Firefighters. Covering weeks 1-5 of Basic Recruit Training (BRT), you'll get a firsthand look at the challenges and triumphs these brave individuals face as they dive into the world of fire service.
Watch as the recruits are introduced to the demanding program, endure their first search and rescue drills, experience the power of the flash can, and face live fire during burn days. The heat is on, and only the strongest will make it through.

3 man rescues are the new wave, glad to see other department putting this into place.
Three people on an ambulance? Is that normal there? We only have a third on board if there's a 3rd year university student paramedic doing their placement. Ordinarily it's just two paramedics per ambulance. EMT level isn't recognised nor legal here. Great video and insight.
