    Is that all from the hot water heater breaking down over time? How do you end up with that much sediment?

    If you have enough sediment to clog a garden hose, you probably have 15 lbs of calcified gravel in the tank that you'll never get out. Also, just kink the hose and stomp on it. You'll push bursts of air into the tank.

    You should be testing your pressure relief valve anyway. If it can't reseal, replace it with a new one from Home Depot. Costs $20

      It was the number 1 feature our inventor and master plumber wanted for the tool. If you are draining a water heater through a 100 foot hose upstairs or outside, the clear eyesight allows you to stand right at the drain valve, engage the air pressure, and ensure it is draining. Frustration and mess free.

    Honestly pretty cool. But i just leave the cold supply on and 11 out of 10 times. The city pressure will clear it out. Also im a boiler mechanic and not a plumber. But that is realy cool

    • @SedimentBuster
      @SedimentBuster วันที่ผ่านมา

      City pressure usually will help it drain for sure. The sediment buster helps stir the tank in this instance. With well water at low psi pressures, you are going to need a lot more help. Thanks for checking in!

  • @Drone-Pilot

    Great tool by the way, I do a monthly routine by releasing the valve to ensure it’s never blocked, leaky, stuck, etc, in the past 2 decades I’ve had 2 over pressure valves that needed replacing and I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t do regular checks. Yes our systems now have other safety measures but why allow any of them to fail without knowing.

    Just use the water pressure before draining for like 5 min and open and shit the valve a couple of times…

  • @nscion7880
    @nscion7880 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Open the drain valve while the water pressure is still on from the house and you'll achieve the same thing. If that doesn't work then this tool would also fail. At that point you have to water lock it (shut off all inlets and outlets) to prevent air from displacing the water and give it a good go with a coat hangar you straightened out
