Nice fishing moments collection, loved it 🤩! Keep them videos coming! Got here new fisherman subscriber all the way from Kazakhstan 🖐 waiting for more 😉👍💪
Hi mate welcome aboard! Thank for watching and subscribing buddy Tight lines Paul 👍
Can you tell me if okuma custom black 3.60m is good with okuma black custom 5500??(im a begginer and i dont know)
Hi mate, depends on the rod rating. A 5500 reel is cool for 20 - 30lb braid (40 at a push) and if the rod is rated to say medium being 4 -7 or 5-8kg then sounds like a match made in heaven but if the rod is a heavy blank at 10-15kg plus then probably best to put the heavier braid on o the reef.
What weight braid are you using on the Beast master. Love your videos.
Hi Lindsay, 80lb Power Pro braid in hi-vis yellow. Thanks for watching mate!
We also run 100lb Power Pro braid as well when chasing larger bar cod and bass groper.
Man tried everything like that doesn’t work but Vegemite sandwiches work and lying done on the floor helps for me
It's the worst feeling ever!
JUST LOVE iT 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
And so tasty! Thanks for the comment John 🤙
Should introduce Barra, that will take care the Tilapia.. 🤣
there's a few already in there, there's millions of tilapia unfortunately
Very noice 🎣 love fishing the Hinchy beautiful place 👌🏻
Mate very prehistoric looking, bloody awesome!
Love the old school intro ❤
Thx Tony! Bit of fun
Love your recipes everyone now calls me ranger reany 🤣🤣
🤣
Saying it won't work is ridiculous, is is optimal? No, but it will work, shit a spin reel will work on a baitcast rod in a pinch 😂
if you say so....
PAUL YOU HAVE THE BEST JOB IN THE WHOLE WORLD, PS YOU HAVE CONVINCED ME TO CHECK OUT ANACONDA AND SHIMANO RATHER THAN BCF,. I HOPE THIS DOESN'T GET YOU INTO TROUBLE FROM YOUR SPONSORS ?? PPS I WILL SAID IT ONCE I""LL SAY IT AGAIN GOOD SHOW AND THUMBS UP 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Hi Johnny, yep I love my job and thanks for your kind words mate and nah I don't think I'll get into trouble :)
😂😂
How tall are you paul?
6'4" so my net is min 10' to 12'
I have 3 tackle boxes of lures. Stop coming out with cool stuff, please
I know right! 🤣
This was real cool! Im learning about fishing and im massively intimidated when it comes to selecting a rod. So when I read about hand line fishing being a good way to understand fishing basics I was really happy to find this video! Such great content and very helpful!
No worries mate, they're alot of fun and super simple, just DON'T get your fingers caught up in the lopped line.
COOL
Fishing and tips good , no interest in the cooking
Hi Ron, thanks for your comment mate. I love my fishing too but each for their own when it comes to the cooking.
Thanks Paul, like you I am into fishing and really enjoy your fishing video's, but there are lots of cooking shows out there already. I was not meaning to be smart, they just turn me off. I am a fan and will always be looking out for your fishing video's, Regards Ron

Hey mate, yep it's a loooong way down that's for sure!
Didn't even think of that !! thanks paul 😀😀😀😀😀
Welcome Johnny, here to help mate 👍
Wow That’s amazing
Weather doesnt look too nice, well done for getting out!
Mate, you're right definitely wasn't the nicest of days but we didn't have to move the rod to much as the boat rocked the lures perfectly 😂
good job Paul, like the fishing jig all so like the tips
Thx Johnny, love jigging too mate, never know what you'll get 👍
All these fish are nice to eat. Especially the Red mullet, spotted whiting, leather Jackets, Salmon etc. I think we are spoilt with many varieties, which is why we get picky. Fresh us always best.
We are blessed mate that's for sure!
Similar to the line rating, don't you also want to make sure the drag rating for the reel is capable of loading up the rod? If the reel can only handle 5kgs of drag and you're putting it on a 20kg rod, then you won't be using the rod to it's full potential. If the drag rating for the reel is above the maximum load for the rod you will risk damaging the rod or breaking the line if you over tighten the drag. I only mention this because a larger reel, like a 6000 compared to a 3000, doesn't automatically have higher drag if they are different models.
too true 👍
Adorable music
yep we thought so too 🤙
Yum
GOD DAMN IT, YOU JUST MADE ME SO BLOODY HUNGRY NOW, GOOD WORK PAUL CHEERS😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶

Nice mate thank you.
Omg yum
The bomb 😎🤩
😊
Wish my knives are that sharp😂
he uses a good ol fashioned stone and sharpening steel
Thank you 🙏 Brother - great information.
Looks delicious. How long do you cook the octopus for? I've heard if you overcook it. Can become tough. Is there a way of telling when it's time to get it off the Barbecue plate.🍻🍻
Totally agree, big one first cause it's the thickest so around 4minutes total then the smaller once at say three minutes. You want a bit of crisp on them especially the ends of the tentacles. Enjoy
We fathers deserve the best Burty!😂😂
What is the name and model of the reel
Hi mate, it's the Shimano Beastmaster 9000 A Brushless reel matched to the Shimano Status Deep Drop Rod. You can also use the Shimano ForceMaster 9000 electric reel too.
I JUST LOVE BBQ OCTOPUS BUT BBQ LEMON NOW THAT'S A NEW TO ME, I HAVE TO GIVE THAT A GO 🥰 . PS IT'S A LONG ROAD BUT YOU ARE LOOKING GOOD , IF YOU'VE GOT THE TIME AND THE PATIENTS / IT WILL BE A SUCCESS / CHEERS AND GOOD LUCK AND IT WILL TAKE TIME 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
mate looks delicious
mate it's sensational!
Dunno about eating a pilly 😳
nah leave that for the fish :)
I know right, but I guess with alot of tomato sauce you could eat alot of things 👍👍😂😂
I got a 102cm flathead on the 17/04/2024 in the Richmond River on a live garfish... Video footage on my TH-cam channel
Solid and nice one mate!!!
Mate I reckon the next video is you showing how to cook them! Just like the Calamari recipe!
Too right,, think I will! But don't think I'll cook the pillie 😂
watch this space mate
Just bought one as I'm fishing a wharf on FIFO. A fraction of the cost of a PE8-10 travel rod and reel and will stow easy as onboard luggage. It's going to be a steep learning curve on big fish but thanks for this vid. Really helped show some technical aspects.
Mate, so much fun but please if you're just starting out, I suggest you use a finger stopper or a piece of bike tyre tube around your index finger to stop the line from cutting in and also remember not to get tangled up around your foot!! Have fun Simmo!
I would also suggest making a cut from the bottom to around half way up the pilchard so you have two little bits at the bottom flapping in the current which will help catch the eye of a fish a bit better
Love it!, I often do that on slimy mackerel and yakkas but never a pillie. I'll give it a crack Thx 👍
Not a fan of octopus, but a big fan of crabs & prawns, love your shows - Delveen
Thank you and I wasn't a big fan but my mind has been changed :) Thanks for watching too. - Paul
how is with memory and twists love to use with a cuban yoyoi
great
