❤❤❤❤❤
My brother had this.❤
Those imortal excellent NWOBHM Godfathers Of Metal Venom Of Newcastle 😊😃😁😀🤗
“Zinc Alloy and the hidden night riders of tomorrow” ring a bell anyone?
NOTHING TO DO with the original UK NWOBHM these two other bands. As always this happens way too many times.
As per channel description: We also feature classic rock and progressive rock.
Such a great 2024 release...one of my faves of the year!!
Which version of Nektar is this? Mo’s band or Klaus’ band?
Mo's
These ARE NOT and were never part of the NWOBHM so whats the point?
RIP Darrel, Manny and of course Dan ... they were magic
This sounds like the bassist Terry Geezer Butler narrating this album review WOW..
I'm still waiting for an Under Wraps set as well - a much underrated Till album!
Did you call I Love The Night rubbish? It may be their greatest song.
No. I did not. I described it as lavish - i.e. "sumptuously rich, elaborate, or luxurious". Which is what the song is....!
One of the best album in the history of music
Sucks that such limited releases. Missed out on Too Old to Rock n Roll, Too Young to Die set. Online sellers (if available) are ass raping for copies now.
Thanks for that! Don't know how I missed it at the time!
Michael at 68ish is way better than 98% of all guitarists out there. Phenomenal effort!❤
Are all the songs re-record on this because I still want the vintage 80s sounding versions
It's a mixture. Some are the originals, some are re-recorded demos.
How much better does it sound?
NOTHING To do with anything about NWOBHM What are we talking about here? Honestly☹
Thank you so much Andy 🤟🤟🤟
must be a trick to finding the CD on their website...

YES YES SIR Finally some original wonderful NWOBHM Band Seventh Son they are still playing today 🤗😃😀😁Super Cool stuff
"i'm a yorkshire man! i can take it!"
Victor is a highly underrated album, in my opinion.
thanx for the info. love finding new and obscure nwobhm bands. just ordered a copy from golden core. cheers!
3 times running is a masterpiece in my eyes .👍
THRESHOLD Are a Surrey UK original quintet specialized in standard Heavy Metal who were formed in 1988. However these ARE NOT PART of the massive NWOBHM domain although they have played and recorded 25 albums ever since so making them very good and wellknown.
This song sucks
My favorite band since childhood....great new album ‼️👌
Money making rip offs... No thanks 😂😂😂
Cheers for the review....
One thing I come to find out about the nwobhm is that it's full of different styles and also on the flip side full of bands that have a similar sound GIRL definitely had their own thing going the closest being Def Leppard who is also shunned buy fans of this movement but not as much as the band presented here now with that being said I love their first two albums they probably just had the worst marketing team ever around them are lack thereof 😢
Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. I was the drummer. What you don’t know is that we were then signed to Jet records and changed our name to Tora Tora. Nothing was released but we still have the songs which took us to the next level. Appreciate the songs you picked out as I wrote some of them.
At 1st listen thought it was a curiosity. But then I listened to it a couple of more times and now believe it's a masterpiece except for Love to Love. Axles vocals are to pro tooled and guitar solos not as good as original This Kid though is absolutely phenomenal and tracks with guest guitarists are fantastic hearing the interplay between Schenker and guest guitarists.Give this a second and third listen 🎶 If you don't appreciate it give it away or trade it. Lifelong UFO fan of all versions of Band also very much like Mogg's Motel
Hands down, the weakest version of love to love I have ever heard. Michael seems desperate to validate his career by the association with lesser but very famous musicians. I hear schenker mention Kirk Hammet more than he mentions Phil mogg. Let that sink in.
I like it better with every listen
I interviewed (tried to, he spoke German) Michael in June 1978 just before the Birmingham Town Hall gig. Phil and Michael had a falling out and fists were thrown. Obvious to see and that was sadly the beginning of the end for this great(est) group. The concert however on that night was stunning and i remember standing on the side of the stage being simply blown away by Michael's playing. I have lots of time for both Phil Mogg and Michael Schenker but this new album is without a doubt an ego trip and a way of getting back at Phil for the many months of Germanic slur in the 70's. Sad but true as on band once said. UFO is without doubt only to be heard with Phil and Michael together.
youre right i complained to him about it also wtf isnt phil on some of these songs is a crime -its not like phil is dead this is just pure ego and i feel michael gets revenge on phil this way by excluding him imo
Michael’s getting revenge on everyone, especially his brother. He has nothing but good things to say about Klaus Meine, however.
So happy with Phil's new project,he still has what today's mucians lack, confidence and talent...Thanks Phil......
Best Mogg since $ign of 4 ,2002..22years ago,..(Vinnie who???🙄🤣)a cracking band,..great production ,a bit of Mogg/Way,at times,,a bit of a continuation of $ign of 4,..you didnt mention Storyville,the final song,just brilliant,..bestCD of the year
Great review! I also did a review of this album on my channel. I also thought that the vocals of Brian Ross were a highlight.
Wonderful, I probably d have bought it decades ago when we were asked to pay jigh prices for first time releases on cd, often inferior in many ways. Had to economise on spending on music, life happened, .......It sounds awesome though. Btw, I have not listened in ages to the album, my vinyl must be somewhere here,...... but you mention songs being not on the earlier vinyl or do you mean cd versions, which I NEVER really went out for, but as far as I recall I think Minster in the gallery, one of my favs was on the double vinyl....
This box set is really awesome, absolutely love all the content. Specially the EP and Think Hard, pretty much featuring a NWOBHM super group: McCoy, Samson, Towns, Matthews and lead singer T. Bone is excellent.
Bought the CD Think Hard Again (1983-85) which includes The Sound of Thunder and have to say that I'm not that happy with it. Amazing video though !!
Just bought this one and the one from Falcon on CD ! Excellent review again. You are so right! Cheers!
Excellent review ! Just purchased the CD and you are so very right. Cheers.
I actually liked all three. But the first is definitely the best.
The original 3 Cyan albums can be heard on youtube in their entirety. Also to compliment this album Rob has released 'The Guardians' 3 CD EP. Track 1 'Guardians Of Your Destiny' clocks in at 25 mins and it's epic. The first 2 tracks from this EP were in the original album but left off the reimagined one because Rob felt the album would be too long because of the extended reimagined versions. So he decided to make the separate mini album EP. It's worth getting too if only for the great aforementioned 'Guardians' track. I don't mind Solitary Angel, Follow The Flow and Tomorrow's Here Today. Peter's voice elevates them.
Did you pursue more magenta after this review. They've done around 9 albums now. Also Rob has another prog band called Cyan (vocals by Pete Jones) and he does a lot of Mike Oldfield homage type albums in his 'Sanctuary' and 'The Ringmaster' series. I met Rob last year at a Mike Oldfield convention celebrating 50 years of Oldfield's career and Tubular Bells. I'm off to another convention next month to Hergest Ridge. Rob will be there too.
Yes - I have The White Witch: A Symphonic Trilogy Re Cyan: Pictures from the Other Side th-cam.com/video/Z3y5fGSHpR4/w-d-xo.html Also Rob's Cursus 123 430 album with the DVD, "symphonic poem" and book.
@@NewWaveofBritishHeavyMetal too many great releases to choose from. Enjoy.
I love this album. It is still awesome today.
Teen Archer!
