    Muchísimas gracias por el trabajo que habéis realizado. El programa es muy intuitivo, lo estoy utilizando antes incluso de ver el tutorial y traducir los textos. Compré varios de sus libros en PDF y estoy practicando en sus diseños. Utilizo el programa para repetir los módulos del patrón (si no son Twist-Neutral) y añadir otro módulo con el diseño invertido y así evitar la torsión excesiva de los hilos y convertirlos en TN. Es genial. Pero una vez descargados en mi ordenador, si quiero corregir o cambiar algo del patrón, ya no puedo hacerlo, o no sé cómo hacerlo. ¿Hay alguna forma de hacer correcciones, de recuperar el patrón en el programa, para hacer correcciones? Saludos desde España Muchas gracias

    I really love the design tool. I'm very much a beginner and learning as much as I can. I have one question when it comes to creating your own design, how do you know when a space should be a forward turn or a backward turn. I can't seem to figure that part out.

    • @tabletweavingintheoryandpr5238
      @tabletweavingintheoryandpr5238 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Sorry for the late reply! A dark background square is a backward turn and a white background square is a forward turn. You can change how dark the backward turns are using the "backward turn saturation" slider in the display section of the control panel. The red "reversal point" lines can also be used to show that a tablet is about to change turning direction.

    Wondering if fuzzy yarn would be suitable if it were treated with light application of something like lanolin. Of course, it would need to be washed out later.

    • @tabletweavingintheoryandpr5238
      @tabletweavingintheoryandpr5238 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve heard of people sizing yarn with things like milk or gelatine to make it stronger and smoother for weaving, but I would be worried about the fuzzy yarn obscuring the pattern on the band once the sizing is washed out.

    • @user-vw3wz9mc5o
      @user-vw3wz9mc5o หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tabletweavingintheoryandpr5238 hmm. I wonder if one side of a piece might be deliberately made fuzzy to prevent fuzz on the other side. The fuzzy side might be more comfortable against someone's skin. Maybe if one color could be fuzzy and made fuzzy like with a wire brush, it might add visual interest.

    Thank you so much for this tutorial. I’ve just had to cut my inkle band a bit shorter because two of the threads broke and I didn’t know how to fix the broken threads. I’ll know what to do when I get a breakage now. It’s very helpful information for a beginner like me. Cheers from Queensland Australia.

    I don’t understand how you attach the other end of the threads to the big loop you put through each little loop on the swivel. It seems I’m like this only secures one end of your threads. Am I missing something in the instructions?

    I’m using an IMac with Safari browser. Even though the S to Z toggle is off, when I click on a square to add color, the S/Z changes and no color is added. (Except it works for black.). Is this because of my using iMac &/or safari?

      We've had a play around with safari on a mac and we can't replicate what you're seeing. Which grid are you clicking on when the S/Z slant changes? The upper one or the lower one?

    • @socalteri
      @socalteri 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tabletweavingintheoryandpr5238 upper master grid. I think I was confusing the TDD way of notating turn direction with slant. I like TDD except I wish the tablets faced right and the threading grid was in the opposite direction😊. So I am turning it all around in my mind. Someone who uses TDD asked me I know a good beginner’s book. Since she faces her tablets left, I just realized that your books would be perfect. Do u recommend one to start with?

    Hello, I have just started tablet weaving. Is this how you prevent twist from building up? What is the wood comb you are using to keep the twist in one area? How do you use it? My warp is getting so twisted and I’m not sure what to do about it.

    • @tabletweavingintheoryandpr5238
      @tabletweavingintheoryandpr5238 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The comb is just a basic wide toothed comb and in this video I was using it to spread out the warp threads to make it easier to weave when I was approaching the end of the warp and to keep the built-up twist out of the section of the warp that I was working on. Twist build up is something that will happen if the draft you're using doesn't have the same number of forward and backward turns for any given tablet. You can undo the twist by weaving a reversed version of the draft (starting at the top and working down, turning the tablets in the opposite direction to the one written), untying your warp from your loom and manually untwisting the threads, or using fishing swivels. The way I use these is described in the next few videos of the series.
