Your shepherds smell/licking told them that the new member belonged to you/hubby. The pack loved you/hubby, so the pack would welcome & love the little one that carries you/hubby scent. If there had been jealousy with you/hubby or in a pack, your situation would have been different.

heartwarming. rescued a purebred shepherd from an inner city shelter who weighted 45 lbs, had the mange and been beaten. Brought him home, gave him a bath and a forever home. This dog was so gentle and loving with an infant to toddler grandchild. Helped her learn how to walk, would sleep in the door way of her bedroom, stay with her where ever she went. He loved her so much. Still miss that one the most of all the ones I've had, which is 8.

I once had a German Shepherd mix, and age IS a number. Remy is 7, he's got 3 more good years left, then it's trips to the vet for the next 2 or 3 years before his life is over. Savor the next 3 yrs., take him everywhere you can, you won't regret it. I had to have my GS put down in '92, I still miss that incredible dog and haven't taken in another one since. Remy is special.

German Shepherds are the best and often most misunderstood breed. Gentle emotional giants that will protect you with all their strength if you’re threatened. We’re older now and so smaller less active dogs are the way but if we were healthier I’d have another in a second.

Dogs have an instinct to protect their pack and help to raise younger pack members. German Shepherds have a stronger instinct to do so. I'm sure their behavior started changing when they knew you were pregnant. Great video they all clearly love her ❤
