BX23S with mechanical thumb removing a shrub
I used my Kubota BX23S to remove an old shrub in my yard. I highly recommend the mechanical thumb option if you are thinking of buying a BX23S.

The wind blew down the old overhead electrical service to the shop, so now putting it underground. Trenching with the Kubota BX23S and installing direct burial wire and a 1" conduit for potential future use. Replaced the old fuse panel with a new breaker panel. Yes, I applied for a permit.

Hiking at Table Rock Mountain on the eastern side of the Linville Gorge in North Carolina. I planned to do more hiking, but due to weather that moved in overnight I was only able to squeeze in a quick hike to the Devil's Cellar overlook below the Table Rock Mountain summit on Friday evening when I arrived.

    Do you have to get a permit to camp there and if so where do you purchase it?

      Thanks for the comment and sorry for the delayed response. No you don’t need a permit. First come first serve. Just find an empty site along the road.

    Thanks for posting this. I know it's a couple years old but I just seen it. I am a lifelong native of the area and have seen this also. Back around 2005, I was driving on NC126 near Wolfpit Road and Linville Access following a friend who always drove with his windows down-I had mine up with the AC on. He braked suddenly and started waiving his left arm out the window frantically and pointing upward toward the sky. I was confused at first, but soon heard a HUUUUGE "roar" coming toward us (which he had clearly heard way before me having had his window down and being a lifelong fisherman on Lake James probably knew what was coming). Suddenly two Marine Harriers came over not 200 feet over the tree tops and crossed Lake James. From their "track" I'm assuming they had already transited the Gorge and were finishing the "run". It was like a massive dose of testosterone! I live nearby (but not in sight of the Gorge or the Lake) but sometimes see fighters going that way. Last summer on two different days I seen F35s pass over in two pairs.

      Thanks David for the comment! Love the story…I get pumped when I see/hear jets too! I roll the windows down driving through Goldsboro (Seymour Johnson AFB) so I can hear the jets as they fly over the highway! Need to see Top Gun Maverick if you haven’t already!

    • @ScottsChristmasChannel
      @ScottsChristmasChannel 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes the Marine Harriers fly much lower than Air Force F16's!! I have not yet seen F35's, but I bet they don't fly as low as Harriers either!

    Nice job. I was there earlier this week (the last day the gate was open). Devil's Cellar is my very favorite spot in all of Linville Gorge. For many years it was somewhat of a place that got bypassed by the masses as there was no sign at the side trail to it - which is one reason it was one of my favorites, lol!

      @travisbullock 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I agree that it’s a very nice spot. I hadn’t been there before. Was planning to head to the summit, but took a left at the sign since it was getting dark soon.
