Supposed to idle down before turning the pto on or off. Great way burn the clutches/belts and brakes up on the drive train super fast 😅
Is there a way I can set the PTO rpms at 540 and drive/operate the tractor using the gas pedal to go slow or fast without affecting the PTO RPM's ??
No, tractors PTO speed is directly related to engine RPMs as on most any tractor.

Very good idea . Should be grabbing the log and splitting it into a trailer of some sort . This would help not have to handle the firewood again.
