So these most likely are the boards the previous home owners opted for! My gosh what a hassle was the renovation of our attic..old looking crap and done a very poor job they did actually..
That guy didn't do my 1950s house.. the plaster don't reach the top of the walls and it's about 2 inch thicker on the bottom.. . I think he was a short guy or he didn't have a hop up.. 😂
Been there, done it all
This makes me think of old MST3K
Is that really true?
Don’t ever make Latham plaster again 😂
Real houses are still plastered today
People are such NPCs
Back when houses were built to last❤
Plastering the walls and screening the floors at the same time those were the good old days
They did all this to build a house and yet somehow they were still 300% cheaper than today. Even though we use materials that are far lighter and more efficient today.
Where might I find the full video?
What’s the name of the original video?
Now it’s all just Mexicans that half ass the entire job
Back when they all spoke english
I think he got more on the ground than he did on the wall.
We move to wood and drywall so they can fry us with emf.
Still using plaster today. I love plaster
Why that crackhead look so happy doing the plastering
People are not as heavy back then but stronger probably
No wonder they came up with a retirement age.
The mechanic? 😂😂😂
Very little plastering was done this way by 1958
Look at my grandpa there with all that privilege.
It's Gypsum
Dude makes it look so easy.
Thats the way we finish our houses in the netherlands. We build with concrete and finish it of with plaster....no sheetrock or wood we want our houses to be strong and very soundproof, i dont want to hear the misic my kids are playing upstairs
Nasi dziadkowie robili dobrą robotę 👌💪👍
I thought sheetrock was stsndard by 1958. My dad built s house in 1954 and it was sheetrocked.
Guys a boss
Funny that the rubber-dipped gloves havent changed at all for decades
Asbestos has entered the chat
Water makes you bloated and lazy
No health and safety in them days no hard hats , hi vis vests ,goggles or gloves 😂😂😂
Looks like imperial bricks?
Glad to see someone keeping this art alive.. nice work
I am currently watching someone re roof a house from my window, really not much difference from this video.
Faster than a lot of young tradies with all the modern feeding drills. Plus a neater job also 👍
Can we talk about how hes using a freaking war hatchet
You mean a drywall hammer?
Highest Skill level like this rarely seen today, not to mention the durability of the end results.
Good old day of dry wall… what the aspects and prolonged cancer?
Man. We were getting to the drainer
Thats not drywall its rock lathe
Так это же работа в стиле срали-мазали, ни углов в 90 градусов, ни ровной поверхности он так не сделает.
Everyone is probably going to be like "Better times, back when men were REAL MEN" and I'm just here like "dang, OSHA would be big mad about a lot of this"
These men paved the way for better safety guidelines.
As a plasterer, it's strange for me to hear the announcer call the professional a "mechanic"
The real skill there was being able to smoke an entire cigarette without using your hands
This is actually plaster board it replaced the wooden lath , and then came big sheets of drywall
Me and the lads still lay the bricks like that
