Sharing the beauty of the underwater world.
Gold Coast Seaway - 13.12.2024 | Entry #15
A few free-diving adventures at the Gold Coast Seaway recently. Never seen a salp before so that was cool. Really cool to try spearfishing for the first time. More videos to come very soon. Southerly winds is hopefully going to continue to improve the visibility. Hope you enjoy the new style of video with voiceovers!

Seal Rocks - 20.11.2024 | Entry #14

On a family holiday and looked at places nearby I could potentially free dive. Found this, seal rocks. Although the visibility wasn’t amazing, the family and I had a great time looking around and seeing what was in the between the sea grass and rocks. Some big woobegongs and turtles of specific note.

A drift dive from the east most stairs at the Gold Coast Seaway. Went to the classic boat, then headed north to the middle of the seaway to hit the sea-shell-city. Nothing spectacular in terms of marine identification but went home with a lot of nice shells - I'm happy.

Today marks the day of Declan's last open water training dive. We travelled around the pipe looking at the magnificence of this dive sight. Absolutely stunning visibility and abundance in marine life including, QLD groper, and eagle rays. Very enjoyable time today!

Snorkelling adventure from little dbah. Never been to this spot before, but the southerly winds blew in beautiful visibility. Plenty of opportunity for me to work on my freediving. Not a whole lot in terms of fish identification but was still so nice swimming along having a look here, definitely gonna be back here - maybe even for a scuba dive.
Cook Island - 02.11.2024 | Entry #10

A special Cook Island visit today. Such a pretty reef to visit with all the marine life inhibiting it. I kept swimming along not being able to take in all of the surroundings, it was so nice. I really wish I could dive here with this visibility everyday.

Average visibility at the Gold Coast Seaway today. Marine life however, did not disappoint. A massive fish identification exercise, most notably eagle rays, a hermit crab and black spotted tuskfish.

Really happy with how today's dive unfolded. Saw a few uncommon critters and was able to have pretty nice visibility at 6-8m. Sleepy turtle and boat habitat were particular highlights for today. Very relaxed easy going dive. Grateful for this life.

Was expecting excellent conditions in the seaway today. Didn’t turn out this way. Still made the most of it, drifting from the eastern most stairs, down to the pipe. Enjoyed my interactions with a couple chill turtles while also having an incredible moment being circled by dolphins!

Following my last dive, I wanted to capitalise on the beautiful visibility of the Seaway. Today I was unable to find any new species (for me), however, I really enjoyed my time on bottom in the beautiful water.

Wow, what a dive. Very good visibility in the seaway today. So much to see. Even made my way up to the sunken tinny. Saw my first cuttlefish which was very exciting!

An attempt at spearfishing saw terrible visibility on the beach side of the seaway wall, however, the inlet side saw a little better visibility. We had an amazing experience with a green sea turtle.
Narrowneck Reef - 10.09.2024 | Entry #3

Narrowneck reef was absolutely swarming with yellow-tail scad this morning creating a dark, daunting environment. Became nervous of bigger fish feeding on these. Did see a good few woobegongs as well!

When the visibility is low, we look harder at the things directly next to us, paying close attention to little things we might not otherwise see. It’s always fun to experience different conditions at the seaway and see what animals are out there.

The first entry into my diving diary. Lots of marine life to see today: groupers, turtles, stonefish etc. Good visibility provided optimal conditions for scuba diving in the Gold Coast Seaway.
Can you do more videos with the bloke from the other video? The guy who offered up one of the sickest shukkas I have ever seen.
Work in progress, have requested many dives… something about being too busy?
Nice to see the realities of the diving entries
Nothing fake round here
YEW. nice work on the captions btw

Nice video. do you by any chance know what fish were swimming above your head at 4:30?
Yes, that was sea mullet! What an awesome school hey!
@ Beautiful! Always wanted to have a snorkel or dive in the spit. Amazing spot
Conditions and visibility can vary a lot. Mainly looking for southerly winds and low wave height. Probably need a few days of southerlies in a row to have ideal conditions, otherwise you might not see much! Best of luck!
Nice video, but where's Seal Rocks? Is that in Greenland, or India, or Mexico, er like where? Remember, YT serves all of planet Earth and not everyone knows where Seal Rocks is ...never mind that there are probably hundreds of "Seal Rocks" around the planet. More info adds value to your content.
Watch the first 14 seconds of the video...
@@onthefencefilm Good idea! ...my whole rant for nothing as I pick crow out of my teeth. My only excuse is that I jumped ahead to the diving so missed that part. Thanks for correcting.
My guy
Yeah definitely don’t make it 100% obvious, will get better on that!
Stunning
Thank you! Cheers!
Massive shoutout to the legendary Mr.Banks for the navigational skills on this one.
