After playing so many slider puzzles (aka 15 puzzles), I've come to the realization that these puzzles are kind of similar to them, and can be solved with similar strategies. For example, if you can get the leftmost two pieces (1 and 5 in this case) in a solved position, then you can treat the rest as if it were a 3x2 without ever having to touch them again, and the puzzle becomes easier. You can accomplish this by simply getting the 1 to the bottom left and then the 5 on the space to the right of it, then doing a single clockwise rotation. Repeat with 2 and 6 and then you just have to spin the rightmost set up to 3 times to solve it. 6 8 4 7 2 5 1 3 move 1: left ccw 8 5 4 7 6 2 1 3 move 2: left ccw 5 2 4 7 8 6 1 3 move 3: middle ccw 5 4 1 7 8 2 6 3 move 4: middle ccw 5 1 6 7 8 4 2 3 move 5: left ccw 1 4 6 7 5 8 2 3 now you can solve for 4 6 7/8 2 3. I see that 4 and 8 are in the correct position relative to each other and 2 spaces away, which means they can be rotated directly into their homes with a couple 180s 1 4 6 7 5 8 2 3 move 6: middle ccw 1 6 2 7 5 4 8 3 move 7: middle ccw 1 2 8 7 5 6 4 3 move 8: right ccw 1 2 7 3 5 6 8 4 move 9: right ccw 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Solved. The only problem is that you're given a limited number of moves. But keeping this earlier strategy in mind, you might notice certain adjacent pairs that could be rotated directly in place. Looking at the puzzle again: 6 8 4 7 2 5 1 3 Do you see it? I do. Every single pair of columns is adjacent to each other. 1/5, 2/6, 3/7 and 4/8. In fact the 1/5 and 4/8 are both in the center. A single cw turn on the center will set them upside down and 1 space away from their homes. A 180 on the right and a 180 on the left will then solve the puzzle. move 1: middle cw 6 5 8 7 2 1 4 3 move 2: right cw 6 5 4 8 2 1 3 7 move 3: right cw 6 5 3 4 2 1 7 8 I know I just said that the left has to be 180'd to solve the puzzle, but I also want to point out that at this point, both the right columns (3/7 and 4/8) are solved, leaving us with a 2x2 region on the left that is essentially already solved--just rotate it until they fall in place. move 4: left cw 2 6 3 4 1 5 7 8 move 5: left cw 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Solved in 5 moves. Which is also likely the only solution (unless you consider CRRLL, CLLRR, CLRLR, CRLRL, CLRRL and CRLLR to be distinct solutions, in which case there are 6) given the move limit.

I like both sound tracks but as a kid playing this on my friends dreamcast when my parents refused to buy this i never got this far so i have no nostalgia bias. I actually prefer the remake version, to me it feels more tense and dramatic as well as going better with the cinematics

I like Leon's theme, but I think Claire's theme has more emotion in it. His is, "I'm running out of time!" But hers is, "Whatever happens, I will save you." Because Claire isn't just thinking about herself, she's going to make sure Sherry gets out too. Which is why her is theme is more meaningful to me.

No the canon is a mix of all 4 scenarios same as original game but yes claire a /1st and Leon B/2nd are closest but canonically Claire fights g stage 1 proven by degeneration movie which is canon Leon must have met Marvin seeing as how he has his knife In RE4r the canon was more or less concise with the exception of RE1 then the “remakes” come along and make a mess of it SMH great games not great remakes
