how many sets per muscle group do you generally do each week?
I would aim for around 10-12 sets a week per muscle group with these sets being close to failiure or complete failiure with partials. This kind of training is more useful as you continue lifting for years. If you're just getting into the gym most heavy stimulus will result in muscle growth.

Nice work, just a helpful tip for the barbell row (take it if it’s useful to you), try to bend down more to about a 45 degree with the horizontal. This will target your main back musculature (Lats, mid and lower traps) much more. Your row was more like a shrug so it may not be hitting the muscles you think it is.
