Oh nice! I’ll be on Carnival Jubilee out of Galveston in Nov, but definitely would be perfectly happy up there on Venezia.

I stayed at the Hudson River Hotel. It’s not the fanciest ever, but it was fine for the night, and it’s very close to Pier 88 where the ship is located.

The older ships don’t have as good of stabilizers as their newer sisters, so Vision can be rough if there’s weather, but I’m usually fine if I take motion sickness stuff.

Nightlife was great. People were out closing it down every night. Outdoors at the aft adult only pool, yes.

MDR food was great! The buffet can be hit or miss, and I’d recommend trying at least one specialty venue if you can spring for it, otherwise, I definitely didn’t go hungry. And yeah, drinks were flowing good 😊

Yeah, for sure. I prefer sailing in the off-season. Ships are less crowded, and there’s way less kids. It’s also nice to leave the cold to go somewhere warm and tropical.

Really? The worst food I've had was on Oasis of the Seas.

It seems MSC can be hit or miss when it comes to food. That is the biggest gripe people have. The only issue I had this time around was with the buffet (it got a little repetitive), but I’d say it has greatly improved since my last Meraviglia sailing, and I was especially impressed with buffet dinner. I didn’t eat at the MDR every night, but the table-service food I did have was excellent, and with great service. I will also say that the speciality dining on MSC is out of this world good, so maybe spring for a dining package next time, if it doesn’t break the bank. I also am sure to have a meal or two in port on longer sailings. It really helps. Thanks for watching 😃

Tania, I feel ya! Oasis and Vision of the Seas are tied for worst buffet out of more than 30 cruises. Two of the few times I actually lost weight on a cruise.

That bacon hit hard! I can imagine that’s not a nice smell for non-meat eaters, but I was like, “OK, where’s it at?!”

Haha! It was just shrimp served on top of a little salad. They did present it so that the shrimp tails looked like claws, and these were some of the biggest shrimps I’ve ever been served, which I didn’t like as much as the smaller ones. No octopus for me either! 😆

Haha! Especially since it was their kid who would scream and yell at all hours of the day and night. I actually met them tho, very nice couple, and a cute kid.

The good news is, it’s peak season, so I reckon there will be other teens on board. They have a rock climbing wall, various activities, and I’m sure there will be all kinds of great events happening in teen club. I hope you and the family have the best cruise ever!
