Here in Indy, I think it may be already happening. I’m not a reseller but I miss the days you could score at Goodwill. Doesn’t seem like it anymore. I was looking for a pair of running shoes, I ended up on goodwill’s auction site seeing they had that brand with multiple listings but I never see them in store. I’d rather go on eBay to a private seller/reseller than be in a bidding war to give my money to Goodwill who receives these items for $0.
If you buy from eBay or any other place you have a money back guarantee or can at least return it if it's not what you want. At shopgoodwill there is no return policy so you are out of luck even if it has a hole or tear that they didn't mention. I find it to be a very odd business strategy they are implementing and am curious to see how it works out for them in the long run.

Goodwill definitely isn't for everyone but they used to have good deals.

Goodwill figured out how to make more profit, so yes, it is all Goodwills now. They do a goggle search on all items.
I think Goodwill has figured out that if resellers can get big money for items found at their stores, why not try to get that money for themselves. The problem comes when "Joe Public" wants to shop at Goodwill for nice items at bargain prices. Putting the good stuff on the website at crazy big prices leaves the "less than desirable" items in the stores. I don't feel it's going to work that well, because their pricing on the website is too close to what resellers would be able to get and so they'll not purchase as much. They (Goodwill) may be shooting themselves in the foot.
I agree about "Joe Public". I mentioned to a reseller friend that although we shop at Goodwill a lot we are not actually their largest profit margin that it is actually the regular shoppers just because of their sheer numbers and I didn't think they would go online to try to purchase things. Goodwills no return policy is still the same online and you cannot check for damages of the items before purchasing and the descriptions are poorly written. All other online retailers usually have pretty lenient return policies.
It's difficult to imagine so many things being in one house. Honestly, it made me feel sick with anxiety from suffocation and claustrophobia, you must have been afraid to even turn around in there. 😮 No wonder they didn't put prices on every item, it would have taken forever. I liked the glass items that you bought very much.
It was a bit claustrophobic but they did have some wonderful things for sale.
I liked the house itself in this video and that dining table set was right up my alley. My wife is decorating our summer cottage with an Indian theme. Thanks for bringing us along .

You do a nice job of filming. So often in these types of videos the camera goes by so fast or is held at such haphazard angles that I never get to actually see anything at all. What state is this?

That’s funny my aunt and uncle had a couch just like that when I was younger.😊vinegar works great for taking water stains off of glass but I’m sure you know that. They have a lot of good stuff. Looks like you found some treasures.
I really liked the couch it was cute. I think the glass was sick glass and those water stains wouldn't have come out. I don't know 100% but I didn't have time to try to clean it out unfortunately. It's nice to talk to you again ❤️.

The prices were hit and miss. This was not my first time there. I already priced a lot of things my first time and got lucky with the prices she gave me this time. I love your optimism though keep up the kindness.😅

Global Is a great Vintage brand of stretched glass. Definitely would have purchased it, and so much more……….. I would have been at that Estate Sale. Lamps, Vintage & Antique Glass. That was Amazing!!

@@ThriftingWander we don't have any large stores like Good Will in Australia. We Salvation army, Smith Family and Lifeline. Lifeline was founded for young people to call a special number where they talk to a professional if the feel suicidal.
When you sell some items that you paid $2.00 for do you always up the price so high?? $30.00 for the purse? I imagine most sellers must be very well off financially to up their prices so much. I once read that many thrift store sellers make six figures or close to that per year. The purse selling price is what 15 times the original cost.
Cost and value is something that as a reseller I am always balancing. Some returns are great and some not so much. I tend to buy things I like and sell them for what people are willing to pay. The box stores pay pennies for their items they sell for all sorts of prices, resellers usually pay more for resale items then they do. Sourcing the items, listing them and packaging them aren't free either it all takes time and money. Not only that you have to promote your item and wait for a buyer. Now someone has that purse for whatever they paid for it and is happy because I did the work to find it, list it and package it for them to be able to purchase it.

Wow! That's a ton of breakable stuff! LOL... New subscriber here. Enjopying the content. One suggestion... Pull back the camera a tad. I was getting a little dizzy as the closer you are to an object, the more you notice the movement. Keep up the good work and looking forward to more!
