For the most part, I had a really good time with the PCA races. Skilled drivers everywhere

I’m on PC, using a cheap Toshiba tv for monitor, fanatec 8nm csl base. I started off on console, which is why I went with the fan tech ecosystem because the McLaren wheel was compatible with Xbox. As I grew more love for some racing I converted over to PC.

@@Patric_Aguirre I’m on PS5. Another observation (from not an expert). Tyre pressures are a bit low. After running a few laps the pressures should be about 26.7 all around. There’s so something happening that makes it looks like you’re sliding through the corners. Not sure why. I started with Aggressive setup and adjust tyre pressures to begin with. I found a setup video that I use now as a starting point and it seems to help. I’ll see if I can find it.

@@Patric_Aguirre sorry I’ve 2 TH-cam accounts. The comment above is me as well. The video at the end also explains some adjustments that can be made depending on how things feel. I love ACC but I don’t want to spend ages doing setup so I just use the one from the video with tyre pressures adjusted for car/track combos and compared to the default aggressive I feel it really helps.

I do mainly formula racing and the wheel itself is definitely better to use in f1 than the gt3 McLaren wheel. Im a big fan of the redbull f1 team so i got the limited edition wheel, but it's basically the Fanstec Formula V2.5 wheel with the upgraded paddle shifter hub and a nice skin.

Well that gives me hope 😮… I get discouraged a lot, but then I get one random podium finish and regain some confidence lol. I’m not familiar with the Motec program, I’ll have to look into that

All jokes aside I do expect better racing on a pay to play platform like this…. But I guess I have to take the good with the bad

Damn 1.32 is fast!! Yeah I struggle keeping that older career mode Porsche on track. My A.I. power varies from track to track, but as of right now 90 is my max for a track that I’m comfortable

Thanks for the sub, and yeah sim racing is a great hobby to get into. One piece of advice is do your research, it’s a great past time to get into but it is very much a “rabbit hole” 🕳️ I thought in the beginning, “that won’t happen to me” but 7 months later and I am hooked lol 😂

low blue light filtering to reduce eye stress and strain. I have this in my prescription glasses.

Or you can just go to your windows settings search for night light turn it on and your good to go

They improve my vision. I can see brake markers better, apex’s more clear, rev light easier, etc. without straining my eyes.

So clearly I’m looking at it all wrong, definitely need to change my perspective

@ for Safety Rating, trying to win is the slowest way possible to increase it. You can get more SA rating by finishing 15 but having car around you all race, without incident and offtrack

@@jean-francoisrenaud8389 I noticed I have better safety rating when I am playing online as well versus AI

@@Patric_Aguirre it does increase faster online, thing is it can go down really fast also when grinding. It all depends on how you make your thing. I have reach 95 SA in 5 days vs the AI

Yes I agree, it’s a great sim that has humbled me. I will say it has given me a higher respect for sim racing in-general. I am borderline addicted lol. I recently purchased a PC to embrace more titles like iRacing, AC with mods, more access to accessories have more immersion. I’m pretty excited for the release of AC EVO.

I agree, there are all types of sim racers…. I use to not care as much and be more casual. I just am trying to personally just level up to be more competitive
