Road to being one year sober (update)
มุมมอง 6621 วันที่ผ่านมา
I’m proud to share that I’ve been sober for 8 months now, with my last drink being on April 28, 2024. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’ve encountered some people who are surprised by my sobriety, but I fully embrace it. Connecting with others in recovery has been inspiring, and I’m grateful for the motivation and support I’ve received along the way. I plan to continue providing updates be...
A beat juggle pattern you might like (pt 1)
มุมมอง 2602 หลายเดือนก่อน
I’m not sure the exact name of this pattern, but I came across this pattern awhile ago when I was practicing, so basically I’m doing the beginning of a chase pattern, a tap pause, then I’m doing a chase with the fader, to double up on the kicks and snares, then I close it out by bringing the left turntable back to the two o’clock position, and then I add a few taps to close out the pattern, hop...

AMEN!!!! Preach!
Thats hot 🔥 question, how do you keep songs in sync when you load them in, or the bpms are just close enough?
@@therealdjdash I was experimenting, all the tracks I use is recording on the same bpm, or close to it, then I make sure all the songs are even volume wise, then I set my cue points
Cool concepts

Good job
Man I'm having big issues with some latency between headphones and what I'm hearing come out from the master or booth ! After researching on the internet many other users are experiencing the same

Thank you I wanted to share this because I know everybody needs help and it may not hurt to get some information from another person. You know it all counts but good luck on your journey. It’s amazing when you start to take care of yourself.

Bro your right obesity is a killer or should i say an early ender for ppl.I was 267! In end of april when i finished up a foot surgery.I was shook I was getting out of breath very easily.Im not used to carrying that kinda wait ppl would say your 6’2 it aint that bad.Shit ik my body and i was a lump of shit🤣imo doc had all my blood panel work done shit was all over the place.Triglicerides were mad high i already have high blood pressure. That day april 27 idk I started walking asmuch as I could everyday dr said just start off everyday do a minute walk.I said that isnt gonna do much so i started one mile first week 2 the second then 3 the third week.I be finding myself doin sum sketchy shi like.Past few weeks or maybe month i would walk first two and sprint aslong as i could my dr said that me doingbthat was dangerous plus i would throwup and literally ghe final stretch almost passout.Ive stopped that i do do a lite jog the 3rd mile thats even hard
@JudeKraft I feel you bro, I had somethings similar to what you had, weight issues, blood pressure staying in the hypertension range, triglycerides bad cholesterol etc, that’s why I’m doing what I’m doing now, with no end in progress, keep going my brother you got this 🦾
So proud of you brother you should go vegan bro
I’m headed there, one step at a time
Brother, I am 45 days sober. Everything that you said in that video I can relate to I’m 65 years old. I started drinking at 14 years old Saint Ives old English. Everything is saying sounds like me. I grew up in Jamaica Queens hanging out in Roy Wilkins Park drinking smoking so the words that come from your lips is my story and I can relate to everything you’re saying I stopped drinking because health reasons relationship reasons I should’ve done this a long time ago, it’s a shame that I have finally waking up at 65 years old but I am on a journey so I am subscribed to you thumbs up and I’m looking forward to hearing more inspirational videos from you. God bless.
Wow thks bro appreciate the support, and your testimony, being that time is an illusion, something put in this world by the higher ones with material power, your 65 years young it’s never to late brother the universe makes no mistakes this was your time, things only get better once that liquid demon is put down, everyday has gotten better and better, thanks again family
Congratulations one day at a time
I just hit 2 months and 5 days sober. I started drinking at age 13. Over 40 years of heavy drinking. The withdrawal symptoms were horrible. Anxiety, stomach cramps, nausea even shortness of breath were terrible. I still get anxiety but its tolerable. Every day I feel better and stronger. I don't ever want to drink again. I thank God for keeping me sober.
Yes I understand, it’s the best thing ever when you quit
Learning this combo now 👌🏻👊🏻👍🏻
Such a great combo 🦾 thks for supporting, you got this
Good shit bro. We are all proud of you, and I know you'll continue to do great things. You are not alone. You are enough. One love!
Powerful bro. Never alone King!
Keep it up bro! I was there that crazy night and I’m glad you made it home ! Drinkin that brown water done outta order! Still have all those tracks! 2007

I stumbled across your profile looking at dj scratch videos. I'm a scratcher myself. Keep up the hard work on staying sober. You're doing great. I'm 6 years sober, and it was one of the single best decisions I made in my life. Keep it up!
That’s amazing, I will get there soon myself 🙏🏿 respect
DOPE KING DOPE
Intro speech was tuff! Keep going bro
This is Real skill.

DOPE KING CONGRATULATIONS
Thks again
I have ten months alcohol free. It's good. I've been hiking like crazy, hitting the boxing bag, losing weight, thinking more clearly. I'm a musician so it's also helpful in my music progression of conscious hip hop. Keep it up. You're gonna feel much healthier, especially for us black folks, we need to let go of alcohol. Stick to weed or go sober. It's just healthier for us mentally and physically
Thank you I really appreciate that. That’s very inspiring. I am too a musician. I’m a producer. I’m a DJ and I have been feeling much healthier. I’m losing weight. My workouts. are becoming more better. My focus is 100 times better than it was before and I feel great so glad I’m approaching 120 days and I’m so happy.
Having too many options can kill creativity. All those techniques we developed as Hip Hop Dj's were done on basic gear. We needed to get creative to find an original scratch/sound.
So dope, keep going!
My brother
Great video
Thk you so much for watching
Im not there yet. Just want to say congratulations brother. Fight on!
Thk you so much, stay strong
Hell yea bro keep it up
Thk you
Pain is necessary, misery is optional. Keep up the good work, I've been sober for almost 18 months. It's not about the quantity, but rather the quality of your sobriety. To thy own self be true. God bless my friend.
Thk you for those words
Yeah buddy. Congratulations. Stay with it. I'm 34, been drinking since 14 or 15. Hard drinking, for similar reasons. I've been "stopping" drinking for longer and longer periods the last couple years. Usually a week and a half then I end up partying with friends for a night or two. I want to leave it all behind. It drains me and keeps me from being the person I want to be, a rested, healthier, clear headed person, beholden to no major chemicals but ones brought on naturally from good living... Take care bro, thanks for the story.
Wow Thk you for sharing, this tells me I’m not alone, you will gain the strength to stop one day , thks and GOD bless
Im on day 3 sober after a 2 year bender. Everyday, all day... Im currently on felony release, probation and i have been messin up. Idk why i didnt drink sunday or monday... but i made it through, now half way through day 3 and so far no dt. No shakes. My guts are upset and turning and my mental state is not good tho. Im a severely depressed person and im hoping i can make it out. I cant get in no more trouble. Im almost 39 and ruining my life. This is no pitty post from me i swear. I have no one to express my feelings to atm so i comment my thoughts online and it helps a lil. Congrats on making it this far. Youre doin it.
Peace my brother, this post is very overwhelming, sometimes some situations get the best of us, alcohol may trick us into thinking it fix things in our life they may be broken, but it does the opposite, I’m sorry to hear what you are going through, but you have to try to find the strength within, to break free from the curse we put on ourselves, it is within you, you are doing great, those 3 days mean a lot, because to get to we’re in at , I had to go through the 3 days, just focus on turning 3 days into 6, then eventually it will turn into a higher number, you got this brother, I feel that you are a strong person, I pray to the most high that you will get through this 🙏🏿
congrats prime. your right tho everyone has to have their own journey to get to the spot that they had enough. i love that you are willing to help those that reach out to you your a good man.
Thks for supporting, yes help is very important, this wasn’t easy, it took a lot for me to do this video, but it’s part of the journey and process,
