    I just paid $350 to get a $20 capacitor change is this price gouging after hurricane

      It is price gouging for sure but unfortunately for most HVAC companies it's standard practice. They are thieves. They carry 5 gallon buckets of Vaseline in their van they fuck so many people.

    Did you have any issues with it shaking the whole house? I did mine similar on our ceiling but kept the 2x4 on the inside instead of cutting a hole and drilled it to the joists above. Shook the whole damn house. 😂

      I did have that issue at my last house, but the ceiling structure was different. With this method, I haven't had that issue.

    Just had a HVAC tech check unit, said I needed a new evaporator coil,cost of $2,800,it is still under warranty, does this amount sound high?

    • @markkotyakov2978
      @markkotyakov2978 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on the unit specs. But to remind an evaporator is A lot more work than people think, you have to recover the refrigerant and then you can cut and replace the evaporator or unburze and braise the new one in, then you have to do a leak check then you have to pull a deep vacuum get rid of moisture and then you can put the new refrigerant back in and charge up if needed. Call around to some other companies and get some quotes, quotes should be free so it's always nice to compare. But always go with the company that is more trustworthy rather than the price that looks the best

    • @Gus11445
      @Gus11445 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pretty average price for most companies. 4-6 hours of work, Evaporator price + $400-$500 dollars per hour of labor is standard for a reputable company.

      Thanks for watching. I didn't drill directly into the truss just for my own preference. Many people do it. I just wasn't comfortable drilling a half inch hole in a truss for a heavy bag with this much weight and movement.

      I believe you can still use the DVR unit via wifi. You will need a monitor to do the initial setup, regardless of the type of internet connection you have. Once you set you system up, you can disconnect the monitor and just look at your camera feeds in the mobile app.

    Bro question? I just hanged my 100lbs heavy bag via ceiling hanging in my garage I felt quite uncertain about it, since my ceiling would bounce a bit ,when I give the bag a good punch 👊 Should I take it down? I do put a spring between the hanger and the bag

    • @TheRegularNetwork
      @TheRegularNetwork 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching. I always suggest putting a buffer between the heavy bag and the actual ceiling/roof structure. Are you familiar with "vibration isolators"? They are used for items that vibrate in construction such as fans that are mounted on roofs or in ceilings. You could introduce some sort of cross-beam support the way I did in this video with the addition of some type of vibration isolation to help reduce the shock absorbed by the ceiling.
