Hey man, I have a 2003 6.0 doing the same exact thing. I have to crank on it for about 10-12 seconds 3 times (prolly around 30-40 seconds before it will fire up. Then once the system is primed and it has had the first crank it cranks right up again after that. I was reading your comment below and I didnt think the early models had dummy plugs? Do you have the part numbers for the parts you replaced?
Im not sure of 03 has dummy plugs and stand pipes, mine ended up being that and also the hpop the OG hpop has a ball plug that blows out of hpop like mine did then i replaced pump updated pump has a threaded plug instead. i can send pics if interested. i did ,ime in December of 18 i believe
Hey Buddy we have the same machine can you help me? my panel indicates High Liquid i dont know why im just working as operator can i have some advice o clu what happened i just want to know and learn for what i encounter
I’m guessing that is a water cooled condenser. I’ve never worked on one of those type ice machines. Certainly better than getting on the roof! I’d say sticking water valve also if it happens a couple of times then back to normal. Possible intermittent stuck hot gas valve?
In my case it ended up being bad o rings on stand pipes so I replaced dummy plugs and stand pipes. The video you watched was in January. I had a video in August same issue and it was a total crank no start again failed stand pipes and plugs. In January I did not replace them. Just rode with it till it completely failed. On your 05 you have an STC fitting that goes bad on your hpop. Mine is the older style with aluminum pump it is not a cast iron pump like yours. When cranking if your ipr maxes out at 85% then you have a hpop leak either at STC fitting or stand pipes dummy plugs. Do you have numbers I can look at to see which direction to go? I'm not sure but i dont seem to be getting notified when people comment on my videos... here's my personal email vfelix702@gmail.com
It's not the U-joints; there's a central alignment bushing that makes sure both of those U-joints are in line; One part of this bushing comes out from the center of the driveline, and the female side of it from the end plate. Once you get it apart, it should be a cheap enough part to replace. I replaced one that looked extremely similar to yours on a 78 Bronco; broncograveyard.com has all the pieces. They may even have the correct one for yours.
Did you find what was wrong? I have an 04 same issue.
That is bad. 🧐🥴
What was the issue
Did you ever find out ? Having the same issue.
