The Honors Band is the second performing ensemble. To be in this group, students must demonstrate a high level of musical maturity, technical proficiency, and commitment to rehearsal and practice time. Participation in Honors Band will require outside of school sectional/full band rehearsals on a regular basis. Auditioning for all-region band and playing a solo at solo and ensemble competition is expected. Private lessons are strongly encouraged. This group will perform at UIL, as well as other regional music festivals as appropriate.
