Are the walls magnetic?

This was helpful. We will cruise on this same ship RC in Aug 2024, Rome Greece Turkey. So I was looking for cabin 10198. Yet, I see it is on the same side as you (one level up); therefore, no lifeboats or apparent structures in the way (that I can tell). Very nice video! I will follow you. Where were you going on this? Ours is going to be 9 day. Love it!!!

The area around 26:54 has to do with the original specialty dining room that was removed. When this ship was brand new it had one specialty dining room with a very elevated level of service and food. It used panels from the SS Normandie. All of the Millennium class ships did this but from different ships. Those pieces were from the entrance to the original specialty dining room.

I'm sorry, I have to disagree with you about the colors in the dining room. It's the same beige and blue that's used in most of the changes and the dining didn't need changing. It was a classic, classy ship's dining room and I don't like this change one bit. I don't love the Rendezvous changes either. I'm not so big on the neutrals and blue/teal look and think it is overused in the revolutionized areas. Some use of it, nice. Overused equals lack of contrasts. I was in the original Millennium when it was new and the original Constellation. The ship overall is fine and the areas still work as designed. Still, sometimes it is better to retain the original. I look at the Rotterdam of 1959 hotel in Europe now that has retained a lot of its original design and it's great to see it. It was truly stylish and it's OK to have a ship represent the time it was built.I like the Solstice changes but only some of the revolutionized changes, like the buffet and to some degree the cabins (though they are pretty gray, too). Thank you for the tour. It was very well done.

this looks great. the last time I was in Barbados I walked to the beach from the ship and it was a long ass walk. Plus only had my towel, no beach chairs. I'm booking this for my next cruise

A friend and I are booked in Cabin 9599 later this year. This was very helpful and we're looking forward to the cruise. Family members have a balcony cabin so we'll probably visit them.

I watched all of your videos and enjoyed the Odyssey of the seas B2B ...I could of sworn that you discovered an area on the ship which displayed items from the Normandy I'm going on the Odyssey Feb 2023 and would love to see the historical display. I did a search on line and see nothing about Royal Caribean Normandy display Thanks John

This is the best tour of a ship I have ever seen,you showed everything,from one side of the ship to the other. I was very impressed,but wish you showed the difference cabins,and how much it would cost for a 5 day cruise,to a 10 day cruise. But otherwise,you did a great job. Thank you!Mark

Excellent ship tour. We are on the Summit Sept 2022

We're going to be going on the Summit for an 11 day Canada/New England cruise, but unfortunately it's not until October of NEXT year. In the meantime there's not lots of videos on the Summit so discovering this series you guys put out was a great find. Thanks much for sharing these!
