I'm not the biggest fan of the B40. I have played the M13£ and actually was on the M15 when I started grad school. I loved that mouthpiece. My professor made me switch, however. But I still think the M15 is a solid mouthpiece, especially for the price.

@@matthewjeansclarinet3412 have you tried a B40 Lyre since the B40 was not your flavor ? More colours and easier to play on,

Hey there! I have not tried the Quattro either. I really love the Hexa and can definitely hear a difference, especially with my overtones. However, being worth the price, I frankly still hesitate in saying yes... Can I hear a difference? Yes. A large enough difference for the price justification? Debatable. I definitely believe you can find ligatures for cheaper prices that can even work better depending on the setup you have. :) I still remember back 8 years ago or so that I blindly played on ligatures ranging from $25-$200+ and ended up choosing the $25 one without knowing. I believe if you're going to spend that much for a ligature, it can be better spent elsewhere like for a barrel or mouthpiece. Sorry this is long, but I hope it helps!

I switched from Buffet to Selmer a couple of years ago and have enjoyed it very much. I'm interested in purchasing a Backun in the future. Really like some of their products but also strongly dislike others. Hahaha. I have a love-hate relationship with them.

But I think # 1 needed a different reed... And yes, the BD5 is “set in its ways” and not a very Flexy (or sexy) mouthpiece to use in certain genres IMO.

@@emjay2045 Haha. Yes, I agree with both of those statements. That's also why I don't even use the reed for which the Grabner was technically made. Doesn't seem to work well for me. Hoping to do some more "updated" and better quality vids in the future. Thanks again for checking my video out! :)

Well this was first uploaded to a different channel and served as a vlog (which is in the description, so I recommend you read). I re-uploaded all of those to this channel and haven't done any actual new clarinet videos since. I've learned a lot on editing my videos over the past 12 months and will make adjustments on future videos given the purpose of this channel. You clearly didn't run out of time or else you wouldn't leave a comment that serves no purpose and doesn't change the outcome of anything. So that waste of time is of your own accord. Glad you moved on to different video. Good for you. Thank you for increasing the engagement on this one from your crass comment.

I only ask; on behave of other musicians, please try to make the introductions shorter. Sometimes other musicians are looking at the videos for quick advice and long intro make them move on to something else. *I am now going to look at the rest of your video* Thank You for the reply. :)

@@cnewtonc Well I apologize for reacting the way I did. The all caps came across aggressive and sarcastic to me. But I do understand that and honestly cringe from watching these older videos, but I feel it is important to leave them up to showcase my authentic self. The only actually "new" videos I have done on this channel were the how to hold the clarinet (which is supposed to just be good fun) and the Dvorak and GOT videos. I plan on making a video soon on comparing the FatBoy barrel, which is actually what I play on now. It doesn't really compare to the MoBa in my opinion.
