Possible spoiler... .... .... .... .... .... This was such a different mission in which I had no base but I had peasants. It made me realize I had to build a base, but had no idea where to go. I got lucky and found the catapults that helps secure the base.

10:09 this is a pretty standard map layout for Warcraft 2 in general - Two land masses separated by a strip or multiple strips of land. In the campaign, it most reminds me of the Siege of Quel'Thalas map, where you also had a river separating two strips of land with three land bridges over it. Just with a different tileset and much more land on both sides.

Don't feel bad for the defeat here! I've always felt this is the most challenging mission before the expansion content. Their fleet doesn't leave you alone!

Skeletons have, I believe, a 10-minute timer. Not super long in the grand scheme of things, but long enough that you can (theoretically) build them up and do some damage. The biggest flaw with Death Knights is that the Paladins that the AI likes to spam get an ability that damages undead units. That makes them quite vulnerable, but they get some great spells

Fun Fact: This is the only mission in the game, both the Base game and the Expansion, that requires you to build a specific building in a specific location, making it the most unique mission in the entire game.

6:20 Casually almost losing on the second mission. 😅 As a kid, I was always enamored with different colored units when I got to control them. Even if they weren't heroes, I would try and go out of my way to ensure that units I collected that weren't the same color as my base faction were kept alive. 7:25 My dad did and still does to this day make it a personal challenge when playing an RTS to clear a map of every resource, and he uses that as his kind of "score" on how well he did on a particular mission.

The plant is called Audrey II. It was created by Frank Oz for the movie based on the musical of the same name, based on the 1960 Roger Corman movie of the same name. Good stuff. Interesting side note: The original Roger Corman Little Shop was I believe Jack Nicholson's first role.
