great videos i think i have a unit 1 exam today
Thanks for watching, hope the exam went OK
thank you
You're very welcome, thanks for watching :-)
it's good and short but can it be more detailed
OK thanks for the feedback, much appreciated
thank you
thank you very much
is this the maths part of unit 1 only
Sorry for the slow reply. I cover all aspects of the unit 1 course but have only uploaded videos as and when needed. This video covers a problem I would expect to see in the mechanical principles section.
Tnx for the help 🥹🙌🏻
No problem 👍
Exam is in like 7 hours I am stressing out luckily You have good videos for me to use
have you finished your exam?
hope the videos helped and the exam went ok
@@hassaankhan3294 yes I have I am sure I did pretty good on it at least got half marks
@@MathsPhysicsEngineering Your videos helped alot thanks
pretty good explanation thanks
Glad it was helpful :-)
too clutch
ur saving my btec grades <3
Glad the videos are helpful 👍
nothing is sticking in my brain and my exan is in 20 days ;-;
Hope the videos help, best of luck
thanks so much brother i got exams comin up thisn really helps bro
Glad it was helpful :-)
flipping booming course brudda
Thanks very much :-)
Hard to find a video that gives all three roots
Hope it was helpful, thanks for watching 👍
Thank you . I appreciate your clear explanation.
Thank you and thanks for watching 👍
Great video! I have a question about a problem I saw on my last physics test. It showed that an object's velocity vector was due north before a collision, and due west after the collision (no magnitudes or times). It then asked what the direction of the acceleration vector would be. Would it just be north west, since that's the direction of the change in velocity? Thanks!
Thanks, glad the video was helpful and thanks for watching. For your question: Without knowing the magnitudes of the velocities, we can't know the exact direction of the acceleration vector unless we at least know the relative magnitudes of the two velocities. If the two velocities are of the same magnitude, then the acceleration vector will actually point south west (one way to visualise this is the following: we start with velocity going north, so to make it go west we have to decelerate down to zero in the north direction (i.e. accelerate south) and then accelerate west. Hope that helps :-)
@@MathsPhysicsEngineering Ohh ok. Thank you!
Thank you
So the acceleration due to gravity doesnt get a negative sign but its accelerating down wards?
Thanks for watching the video. A negative sign is not needed for the 7x9.81 calculation as the weight arrow tells us the direction of the force (notice the negative sign for this downward force is included in front of the W when we work out the resultant force). However, when, in the video, I said "calculate the weight" what I should have said is "calculate the magnitude of the weight" (for magnitude the answer is always positive). You're correct about the gravity being a negative acceleration, I could have written the resultant force calculation as T-W or as T+(m x -9.81), both give the same result. Hope that helps, please feel free to ask if anything isn't clear.
