Im just annoyed watching this.
looks like a fixed camera. Shame noone streaming it?
Tic tac is gone out my government get in
Sometimes, the gene pool needs cleaning.
I am just happy the Dog made it through the gate before the train. As for the human stupidity not much can be said.
Natural selection nearly at work here.
Never play on the tracks. It is illegal and dangerous.
I cannot believe that photographer and woman, are you mad?!
Jesus loves you he can give you true joy turn to him if you haven't yet (John 15:9)
The stupidity of some people
What is hard to watch about that? It was a small slap and looked to be in response to being spat at.
Darwinian natural selection of the stupid
Many years ago when I was a kid, I knew the dangers of crossing tracks that’s probably because we was educated … people today don’t know how to cross the roads let alone railway tracks they’re always distracted by their phones. I think it’s time to show the aftermath. What happens when they get runover.
As a retired BRtrain driver, when ever there is yet another report of somebody getting hit by a train i always hope the driver is o.k. When will these idiots ever learn that the chances are the train will always win? Even driving under perfect conditions in a four carriage train, at 60 mph i would need a quarter mile to stop. Chances are if travelling at speed, by the time you spot somebody on the track, you have hit them, just enough time to hit the brakes, sound the horn and shut your eyes.
Taking pictures on train tracks is the height of stupidity! 🙄
Social Darwinism working overtime.
Are people in other countries just as stupid and it's just not being recorded (maybe not as much CCTV as in the UK?)? I wonder if it is it just not being recorded in other countries, or maybe if level crossings like this one only exist in the UK? Somehow pretty much all videos like these that are being shown to me are from the UK.
Crap video, no one got squished ffs.
Darwin awards.
Richard cœur de Lion HELP !
Buy them a footbridge you stingy network
I just cannot believe that even in this day and age, people living near the railways are still behaving in such an utterly stupid manner at level crossings and if they do this, they almost certainly would do the same if living near a road or a motorway - such people should not be allowed out in public, because these people are on a a death wish and are actively trying to kill themselves and the penalties for this kind of thing clearly need to be much more severe - in all such cases as standard, mental health evaluations need to be carried out at the very least - it’s very clear that they were not slapped often enough and hard enough as children if they are doing this stuff in adulthood - they clearly need to “cop themselves on” as my Irish granny used to say
Heart-stopping STUPIDITY
Modern teenagers…. Can’t even take their eye of their phone for one second… not even to check to see if a train is coming. Absolutely staggering.
Natural selection at work…
Plenty of idiots in that village.
Never underestimate stupidity.
This shouldn’t even exist
No different to crossing a road. Roads are way more dangerous to cross.
Since pedestrian IQ’s at this location seem rather low, it might behoove the rail line to install early warning lights or bells or auto gate locks. If safety measures are not in the budget, just stock up on Darwin Awards for the deceased dumbasses.
It's confirmed. People are inherently stupid.
I reckon cats and foxes stop and look both ways before crossing. That's how thick these people are.
Village idiots comes to mind !,
I still think that trains should be, maybe, big and noisy so you can see and hear them coming.
Why don’t they close that walkway or elevate it.
Cost. There are lots of them too. Roads have way more pedestrian fatalities.
You would imagine if they achieved 21 years their brains should have matured, guess not. Not doubt when someone gets squashed the family will look to blame someone else.
That is one dodgy crossing in the first place. No signals or warnings? Unless they are there but not obvious? It’s a half wits dream and a classic demonstration of Darwin’s theory.
No more dodgy than crossing a road. You see far more stupidity from pedestrians on roads.
Just close the crossings, the public do not have enough survival instincts to be trusted to use a crossing in a responsible manner.
OMG look up from your phone for the 4 seconds it would take to look both ways! They went to a LOT of trouble to put track there, it has a purpose.
maybe some of that money splashed-out on the 300 BBC TV Series dedicated to Tranny Culture could be spent on a early warning signal here????
Darwin said something about this. Wasn't it about 'Selection or something'?
Just a matter of time.
There's designated place called railroad for trains and people still will find ways to throw themselves onto it. I can get accidents on the street but to die to train on crossing you gotta be "special".
Maybe Network Rail could think about installing a foot bridge?
That train should either have to travel slower though that grade or it should be required to sound its whistle or horns well before the trains in this video.
Oh long Johnson!
The thumbnail looks like a bass guitar
Yes, some of the pedestrians are idiots, but why does this crossing even exist?
Why shouldn't it? How many fatalities have there been compared to local pedestrians crossing a road?
why dont the gates have electrical locking device fitted to prevent idiots walking in front of trains without looking? we have them here on mainlines in australia.
Because if they did somebody in the middle could get locked in the middle.
These people are idiots
I work right beside and have to regularly cross an unmanned level crossing with “diy” gates. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve seen pedestrians walk in front of trains whilst looking at their phones - often mothers with small children, even in pushchairs. I’m constantly thinking, “It’s only a matter of time” 😢
