Hahaha, in this game, we got destroyed. Lost 9-1, but that was the most embarrassing goals I've let in. Funny enough, I pulled a double header and literally let in the exact same goal in the previous game. I was very off that night.

Yeah, I think that was the Issues with the G5s. I think they fixed it in the g6 and g7. It was still a lazy play, haha, I was definitely off that game and the previous game where I made that mistake.

Oh yeah. I was off that game. Not to say I won’t be off in future game videos, but these videos are definitely helping me fix issues with my play. It’s fun watching these back.

@@mmitnik yeah I know. You were quite off of that one as you did a lot better in your previous games. Good luck on your next one though.

I'd imagine that initial "save" would have bounced the puck back to my opponent for another try in air hockey too, so I probably wouldn't do much better. Haha.

Yup. It hurt a bit for the following game, but it was better the following game. Not sure what I did besides being old.

Haha I think I was in shock after making that error. Worst part is the game I played right after this i did the same thing. I was definitely off that night.

haha yeah. I was being lazy and also missed it with the paddle. The puck was moving so slowly I had tons of save options. I always laugh at these brain farts.

Yeah, I think it was a simultaneous action with him dropping the puck and trying to cover it, and the player going after the loose puck. I'm still not a fan of the goal for beer league, but I think the ref was correct, but during the game I though the goalie still had 100% control and the ref just didn't blow the whistle.

Yup, the wrist was better the next day. I still have no idea what I did. I blame getting old.

Do you mean the blue paint? It's just not an NHL crease. I do like the top line though. That helps give me a guide to how far I would want to get out of the crease.

Thanks so much! Which store in BC did you go to? If you have any stores that have the Bauer fit foot scaner it will let you know which skate you fit in. That's what I did before looking for used konekt skates. I also have a wider foot.

@ I goto the hockey shop. I was using their Bauer scan thing but the damn thing kept breaking down so I just went home haha I’ve been having a ton of toe box pain on the sides recently (to the point I have pain walking) and already wear a fit 3 wide bauer . They immediately said no the konekts when I mentioned that .

I can't remember if I was a fit 2 or 3. Can't find my emailed results. Next time I'm at a place with their scanner I'll let you know. I really love these skates.

They are an awesome skate. As soon as the Konekt 2 became available I started looking for used sets of the V1 on Marketplace and Sidelines Swap. Found a guy near by on marketplace and went for it. While It would be nice to have brand new skates I can't really fit brand new Konekt skates into my budget right now. Going used allowed me to get them for less than half of what they cost brand new, So I think it was worth it for me. Although I haven't tried the traditional skates that would fall into the budget of Used Konekt skates. I love the Ski boot design of the Konekt. It's easily the most comfortable skate I have ever owned. Especially after I re-baked them.

@mmitnik I lucked out birthday gift from the family plus they were 250$ off the regular price. Nicest skates I have ever owned. I like the ski boot concept works super well for goalies. Plus. Wing over 40 anything to make getting dressed or undressed with gear is so welcomed lol

Haha I love the ski boot style and the fact it's only 2 buckles to put on skates is amazing. They feel so comfortable and are quick to put on and remove. As an over 40 goalie I definitely approve of that.

Took just a few games together, but it was nice not having people try dekes or sending pucks towards my head.
