huge thank you to Peter Landsman of liftblog.com/ for showing me in and around the Bridger and Sweetwater Gondolas at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort! Peter works in Lift Operations @jacksonhole but in his spare time updates Liftblog, a website dedicated to chairlifts. He has ridden almost every single chairlift and gondola and tram in North America, and has pictures and stats for all of them on t...

It runs from the main base area up to the Rendezvous Lodge, making it the longest lift other than the Tram at Jackson. Look 👀 at all of these US ski resorts that rely on their “Open Chairlifts “. So many Negative Elements Pertaining To Them. I do wish they would take some factual advice from the Leaders of A Real Ropeway System Such As The Leaders At Big Sky Resort In Beautiful State Of Montana. Home To The Biggest Chairlifts Ever Created and Built. Ramcharger 8, Swift Current 6 And Ready To Launch 🚀 The New World 🌎 Longest, Fastest Chairlift The MADISON 8.
hitting up attitash at the end of the month..i cant wait.. i love killington to.
I’m walking up the mountain if that is the line
I watched this for five minutes and then fast forwarded and realized u don’t actually ski
correct, its a video just of the chairlift, just like the video title says. I post actually skiing videos as well if thats what you prefer
hehe, thanks for sharing, I left just before they dropped the lines, I estimate there were 85 million people there
Nice beginner slope! 🤣 And that line at the end is why I crave remote resorts.
How was the line. I hear people had a hard time getting there on the road.
Ski season is back!
Line looks terrible
yeah it was brutal but the powder made up for it
Groovy. Thanks for the share.
Ripcord is pretty easy and fun. It’s just a little icy.
They did change the chairlift and I got one of the old chairs
I’ve ridden this lift. Love the breakover. YAN seemed to like doing this on their detaches. This is a YAN retrofitted by Poma with new sheaves, tires, grips, and grip track equipment. Much original YAN machinery still inside however.
At 1:41...whoa...almost a bad collision!
Only at Big Sky Resort Can You Ride Such Super Fast and Quite Comfortable Chairlifts.
Only 10 like in 2 months 😢
2:47 OH MY GOSH I JUST HEARD MY NAME
"How many depression sheaves do we need?" "Yes" On a real note though, always glad to see a fixed grip, especially a quad, running at good speed, especially one that serves expert terrain. Seeing videos of old doubles at big resorts running at 320 fpm for no reason annoys me lol. Sugarbush usually runs their Inverness lift at over 500 fpm and is miraculously the 3rd fastest fixed grip I have been on myself, just underneath Smugg's two main doubles
1:06 - That's a really cool tower design. Looks like there was only so much space around the lift to work with, considering a groomer has to get to that part of the trail.
Right of Passage. FYI the true Peak to Creek run (as marketed by K) doesn't take Launch Pad but goes Bear Trax the whole way and cuts over to GE that way. No slow flat spots that way. The way you took is still fun, it was one of the original routes of GE before being rerouted and then truncated to Skye Peak.
I skied it as a child in 1986+-. I remember it as what we would consider a glade now. I think they cleared lots of yrees Cool video. 3:22
The bottom terminal of the gondola has a customized appearance, with rounded off ends so that it resembles the Challenger terminals of the adjacent Poma-constructed Teewinot lift and Bridger Gondola.
This lift is up for replacement it’s fun to ride but it’s annoying when this lift goes down every single day and I will say they do put a lot of effort into preventing this and I know they are trying there best

I’ve never been a fan of Atlanta airport because I had two terrible experiences there in the same year.
yeah wasn’t my favorite airport
@@newenglandskiing17Denver Airport is just as annoying, and I have to fly there to get to college.
Awesome! I miss my days of skiing at Smugglers and Stowe. Film the trip down the mountain next time!
i have a bunch of trail videos as well!
on one hand, it would be nice to have this lift back, but it was always a useless lift since parker's gore was cancelled. devils fiddle doesnt even keep enough snow on it to be open consistently, probably because they cut it so wide. that whole side of bear looks cryptic
There are 114 chairs, which resuts in 50 foot spacing. I think the top speed was de-rated to 500 fpm when it was converted to a quad. They only run it at up to 450, though. Technically, this lift serves terrain that you can't get to from the Skye Peak Express. Ridgeview, the top third of Devil's Fiddle, and the very tops of Outer Limits, Wildfire, and Bear Claw are only accessible from this lift. That being said, it has been a weekend only affair ever since the Skye Peak Express was built.
There are 61 cabins. The design capacity is 2,800 per hour, but the cabin spacing has always been 250 feet, which results in 1,920 per hour at full speed. If the capacity were to be increased to 2800, then they would probably need to speed up the terminals, because the cabins are already pretty close together. If they did that, then loading would be impossible.
Skyeship never had a third stage. The original Killington Gondola did. Skyeship only replaced the bottom two stages.
fixed. thanks!
