Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park (aka "Acid Park") | Wilson, NC
Public park in the heart of Historic Downtown Wilson featuring 30 massive, vibrant, wind-driven whirligigs made from found materials by Vollis Simpson. These whirligigs are officially recognized as North Carolina's State Folk Art.

Over the next forty years, he set about to memorialize her tragic death with what he envisioned she was seeing when she died..." Thus named "Acid Park"
