looks pretty gimmicky to me...
This was great, man. Thanks. Can’t wait to try it.
Thanks hope it was helpful.
I need information about your n scale train setup
12hp on 150? You would feel that seat of the pants, and company that claims a boost in bot areas(MPG AND HP) tend to make me nervous. Good luck and thax for the vidya
I just bought stripes vinyl decal with adhesive backing. I noticed that you applied a water soap y application before putting the stripes down. Did you have an adhesive backing on your stripes? If so, why the water unnderneath?

The vinyl decals I used also had an adhesive backing. The soapy water just allows you to be a little more forgiving if you need to move it. This not a necessary step. Until you squeegee the water , the decal can be moved easier.
That bumper stripe finishes it off great! Good job.
I have question Is it possible to install a smaller steering to a car like that?
Unfortunately, I have never changed out the steering wheel but have seen quick release wheels installed.
Great video ,thanks buddy
Excellent video, will be getting my stripes any day and this was super helpful.
Glad this could help. Some careful planning before you get started. I have used several types of vinyl and it is all pretty easy to work with. Good luck with yours!!
How long do the vinyl decals last?
Really depends on the quality of the vinyl and the environment. I have had vinyl decals on car windows and on car bodies for 7 years with no problems. That is through 100 degree summers and negative degree winters as well as going through car washes.
Thanks very helpful. Sure do love that color blue...different.
Thanks. The color is Oxygen Blue.
@@mikejohnson5345 Thanks, I may have to start looking for one. :)

@@mikejohnson5345 Yes thank you very much I hope it's not too complicated to take out the bar and set the bar alta
Best of luck to you! It is a pretty easy swap. You will love the handling difference with the upgrade!
@@mikejohnson5345 thank you yes it looks easy as an assembly I hope this will change the behavior of the car because I find that the rear of the car moves a lot when i turns (sorry for my english too 😁)
How did you do the red Mini's ones? Worried about having my stripes unequal, any tips?
To get them equal, I did several measurements and marked the inside stripe edge with tape. I taped one stripe where I liked the look and then measured the other side to match it. I measured from the side hood chrome. Measured from the wiper hood sprayers. Measured from the center hood badge and finally from the side of the chrome of the grille.
What is the type of grease to get to lubricate the bushings? Doing this cool project tomorrow on my mini. Great install video! Thanks!
Mine came with a small packet of grease. I think it was a lithium grease if I remember right. If anyone knows for sure, feel free to chime in. Thanks. Good luck in the install, you will LOVE the performance results!!
That side Union Jack on the red mini is so cool!
Thank you. I wish I had done a video when I put those on. By the time I had the thought, I was almost done with the install. Love the way it turned out though.
Great video ! Im trying to make one with a 3d printer think u could help me and measure the thickness of the part ( how mutch its raising the O2 sensor )
Just buy one lmao
@@Goyxrd3 is not available
That thing is gonna melt if you print it with plastic.
Thanks for video! =) Do you know what is the diameter/thickness of the initial/original swaybar? Because I need to replace the bushings on mine and wonder if it is 16/17/18 mm.
Here is a link with all of the stock sizes based on years and types of Minis. Hope this helps. new.minimania.com/Mini_Cooper_Rear_Sway_Bar_Application_Guide
Nice vid and thank you, I just got my ALTA bar installed yesterday. Do you have some squeaks/ creaking while going over bumps like me? Not sure if the new poly bushing are just so stiff that they are loud or maybe the rear of the car is so stiff now that the flex of the chassis is making something in the trunk area to squeak or rub when flexed. I did grease the bushings correctly and some people say that he stiff rear sway bars are going to be noisy. Just trying to get a second opinion. Thank you
A stiffer bar will make a little more noise than stock. Alta says to make sure to grease the inside and outside of the bushing. You can always grease the inside of the metal brackets as well. This was the third Alta bar I have installed and I have never had any issues with excessive noise.
@@mikejohnson5345 Thanks a lot man, I'm gonna double check the bushings with some more grease. Happy motoring!!
Kind of shady of Crawford not to carry the Eco block on their website anymore. Even called and got response they discontinued the product. Hmmm wonder why?!?! I read some reviews on Subie forums it's a waste of money. Lol
Might be something with that. I have never ran the car on a dyno. Any improvement in HP would really small. If you are wanting more HP, a WRX or Sti is what you want. These cars just are not made to have massive amounts of power.
@@Goyxrd3 he said massive amounts
@@Goyxrd3 still not a v8 LoL
Paul Braz I have a 2018 pro charged scat pack, so trust me I have my v8 cravings satisfied
@@Goyxrd3 And all he did was install an air filter...............................
Hello Mike, always looking for ways to get a little more hp from my 2015 crosstrek, I see eco block available on amazon, they offer 4 variations and no way to check fitment, did not see on Crawford site. How did you check fitment, thank you
I have not been able to locate my receipt to see what the model number is. I purchased mine off of the Crawford website, but it looks like they have taken it off of their site. You might message the company and ask for more info and if they plan to restock that product.
thank you
when I can buy this front big ligth of the white subaru??? can you help with that??
This light bar came from ssd performance. ssdsubaru.blogspot.com/?m=1 The bar does NOT come with the lights, you will need to purchase those separately, but the bar allows for several different light configurations.
nice video! I'm liking the mini-series so far. Not to many non s mini series out there.
Thanks. I have had both S and Non S Minis. The one in the video is a 2010. I just purchased a 2nd one (non S) that is a 2009. I will try to be better about getting some more videos out there.
Please give us an update.. Great job on the video..
Update really hasn’t changed. I get worse gas mileage than stock with the front lights and roof rack, but the eco-block seems to have leveled me back to where I originally started. These cars are not fast, but the throttle response seems better and the car seems to be a little peppier than stock. Not enough noticeable difference to pay for a dyno test for horsepower. This car is my daily, and I have not made many upgrades to performance except the eco-block, a K&N air filter and removing the charcoal filter. In subarus, if you want more power and speed with a crosstrek or Impreza, you might be better off spending a bit more for a WRX.
@@mikejohnson5345 thanks for sharing. Better try a hho system they work better on these gas guzzlers. God bless
Any experience with these? I had never heard of it until now. Do you know anyone that uses one?
@@mikejohnson5345 hi Mike. I was watching this to see if it could improve my car's gas mileage. When I did check my car (2006 Wingroad nissan) it already has a raised rubber portion where the MAD sensor sits and this car gets really God has mileage already. So it looks like this will work. Buy my car came with it from the manufacturer. It shows you what these car makers know buy they keep from us. You should definitely get one for your car if it isn't like mine. God bless friend.
