Yeah I left it untouched for a full day afterwards. I’m still very nervous to touch those areas but they are stronger than I expect them to be. As for the glue while you apply the effects, I found that you typically get about 30-45 seconds of work time before it gets really cured. So putting the glue on an old bag or slick surface for about 15-20 seconds before applying it to the mini might help it attach better as it’s already starting to solidify.

I find the Army Painter paints to be the closest counterpart to Citadel. The Fanatic range is fairly widely available and has some great, saturated colors that have the same vibrancy as Citadel paints

You could use a flesh contrast or speed paint. As long as you have a white undercoat the contrast would give you some natural tones and shadows in one coat!

@@MiniPaintMitch which color/ combination should I use for the face? I have rakarth flesh, corax white aggrax shade, and reikland flesh shade (as well other colors, but probably won't fit) And thank you sooo much for your assistance 🙌🏼🔥

@@fran_akron I would probably do Rakarth Flesh as a base coat, followed by a Reikland Flesh shade wash over that for the recesses and shadows, then maybe some optional Corax White/Rakath Flesh mix highlights. That would probably be the quickest and easiest way!

Yeah absolutely, you could use Citadel color’s Castellan Green or Vulkan Green and get pretty close in that color spectrum. Maybe even Scale Color’s Field Grey

Thank you! I use Pro Acryl Bold Titanium White as my main white paint. If it’s a white prime, I typically use Pro Acryl White Prime. Monument Hobbies is the company that makes them.

@@MiniPaintMitch Don't know anything about the new saturns, but the 8k (a Saturn 1 with Saturn 2 internals) has been great. Just got to get off my butt and replace the fep.

I went back in with the original tone and then built up in highlight. I try to not cover the recesses because I don’t want to undo what the wash has done but it reintroduces that original color back in that was dulled down from the wash!

Thanks for the tip and the video I've been following along and absolutely loving how these guys turned out! So when you say built up the highlight, do you mean you progressively added a lighter shade or just the original?

@@TacoRandomProduction So in this case I did progressively build up by adding just a little bit of white into the Field Grey. But that was my final layer because I didn't want them to be too bright. So it was Field Grey, Wash, Field Grey again to reintroduce the color leaving the recesses, then finally Field Grey with a little white as a final highlight

I really like the Tamiya Extra Thin Cement as my preferred brand but when I can’t get hold of that I use the Mr. Hobby brand which I think a lot of Gundam model kit builders use

There’s a couple shots of it next to the Luke legion mini. It’s just slightly underscaled for 28mm miniatures but looks believable on the table! And yes I do plan on more customs in the future!

There isn’t a game for them unfortunately, I just printed these and painted them for fun. I left exact links to where I found them on both the Bionicle videos on my channel. There’s a Toa video and a Bohrok video. Hope that helps!

I picked up New Antioch and Trench Pilgrim factions but the more I look at the other Faction designs the more I want them haha. So in the future, once they are for sale officially I’ll probably pick up some Iron Sultinate. There are some other minis I could do a cleaner look to in the meantime though! Also, great idea for a warband! My advice would be to start off with the clean approach, and then if you’re not happy with it, slowly add small amounts of weathering. Or if you can print two, do one in each style!
