Something a bit different this time. Target testing the Meandros B32 115 and Rabitech Stealth Pro 100 guns with original shaft and rubbers then with Sigalsub shafts. The current made it challenging to place the perfect shot but i was able to demonstrate the consistency of both guns. Enjoy and SUBSCRIBE! Inspiration for this video came from majdq8.

Did you ever get this sorted? I would try a 155cm 7mmshaft for the meandros. I also did not like the shooting line going under the line release but that’s probably not the problem. Hmm.
That looks like diamond bay , you guys are fearless , so far from the shore
great video to see, love going spearing at the Sorrento back beach, i just use a hand spear and go after the schools of mullet that swim through into the little sheltered bay area.
I have the same problem my shaft goes down and 7cm left i
how to get this place?
Lagak that nyo
Hell yeah. awesome catch mate
Great footage guys very well done
Now I’m too scared to swim their lmao
Maybe dropping due to shaft being slightly too long?
Should have Gave it a head scratch or belly rub
That's awesome. Nice big Sevengill swimming up close.
...but in the first test, he is using the original setup: 16mm @3.4X....so!? I want to buy Meandros Argo. What do you know about this model? I can't find anything on TH-cam. What about the Leader handle in comparison with let's say Nemesis Sigalsub or D'Angelo 2? It's better if want to use 17,4 shafts? I want to buy a new gun and they are so many options it drives ones crazy. Nemesis Sigalsub, Pathos Laser, Cressi Cherokee, Salvimar Hero ..and now I discovered Meandros Argo and I was thinking that because they make good trigger mechamis theirs gun will be better...
Where exactly? I've never seen one in the bay :(
That was around fossil beach mornington. They are rarely out in the open so look into all the cracks and hole and you'll find one
where did you get the warehou? i havent seen anyone else spear one nice man
Got it at the George Kermode. I've only seen them there
Gone Freediving no idea where that is ?
@@foxmonster9964 out the back of Phillip island mate
That was a deep crevice that you swam through to get the last one. Fearless
Do you need a spear fishing license if you are aboriginal
That’s a 7 gill shark
14.5 primeline cut at 425. Done. Cone that shaft also.
did you quit diving after this shark encounter?
Not at all!
@@gonefreediving8958 you havent had a video since, i thought maybe it did something lol any more videos coming? enjoyed watching your vids.
Are the southern goat fish any good?
Similar texture and taste to pinkies. Good eating fish
Where is this my man?
That leather jacket at the end was massive
Great footage of the Draughtboard shark. I'm desperate to see one of them. Such a cool fish
the first fish was way too small :(
Sam Pearce undersized? No
I’m liking how you put the species up on scream pal. Good hustle
but where on the peninula is this?
where on phillip island is this?
I'm thinking Cape Woolmai with the rocks in the background
where is the spot at 4:11

if for example the band is 70cm and from what I see you use 10cm dynema or 12cm ( i cannot be sure from the video ... ) you have a band that is 80 or 82 in length . If the loading length is 130 x 2 = 260 / 80 or 260/82 ... that give you a factor of 3.25 or 3.17 for the longest rubber . If you speak with meandros ( Petros ) he will tell you that the MINIMUM factor for his bands is 3.3 and best value is 3.6 . So you are under powered and that is why the gun is shooting low . Left or right has to do with your aiming or the grip on the handle . Hope this helps
just noticed your comments . I have the same gun so do the following . Only use the meandros black 16mm gomma rubber @ 3.5 factor and reduce the white rope that you are using to join the rubber is WAY TOO LONG . If you measure the length of this white rope + rubber length you will see that the total factor may be 3.2 or 3.3 at best . This rope shound NOT be longer than 2 inches from rubber to rubber . So give each rubber including this white ropper a total lenght go give you a factor of 3.5 or 3.6 . ie if the loading length is 130cm x 2 = 260/3.6 = 72 cm . You will loose 2 cm on each rubber when you fit the plastic ends . So you have 70cm of band loading + 5cm maximum of dynema white rope at the end . Your rubber should be 65 and 70 cm without the dynema white rope

@@danimogos hello have you tried meandros argo ? What is your experience?
Are you using the OEM meandros gomma black rubber that are supplied with the gun with EF 350% or 3.5 to 1 ? Thanks for sharing
ow were they different days
your only aloud 1 boarfish
Correct, per day
GREAT VIDEO!!!!! What wetsuit are you using.
Cheers, I'm wearing a Cressi apnea 5mm
Thanks mate!!!!!!
Very nice
beautifull! what type of camera did you use?
thank you. just a gopro 3
wow man - look sick. good work
sorrento??
yep
Looked like a good dive. Great clip!
Nice testing! I wonder if you found out what causes the deviation of the shots? I'm asking cause I'm considering buying the same gun.
alex haralambiev i made some adjustments like flopper maintenance and wrapped the line over the opposite side although I haven't retested in targets I'm very happy with this gun. buy it, you won't regret it.
Thanks for the reply! I'll get it- it looks simple and reliable. I'm tired of overcomplicated guns.
alex haralambiev spot on. it's simple but very powerful and accurate. you'll love this gun
Bloody hell it's like a fish suburbia down there, everytime I go out there is nothing! Are you using berley of some sort?
Great test thanks for sharing!
very nice rockling. Good job.
Ferris Lee thanks mate
nice vid mate, see many sharks?
Cheers mate, no. No sharks
Cool. Just getting into the sport and the buggers terrify me.Hope i never see one.
Mate you'd be luck to see one. Many dive for years and never come across one. I'm still hanging out for my first encounter.
Ya mad! Thanks for replying mate and giving me a bit more confidence to keep getting out there.
Also just got yaself another sub.
Nice video! I believe through various tests that this can be zeroed in by doing two things. One, put the flopper under the spear not on top and two when placing the mono-filament line use the left head hook and not the right when securing the spear to the head... it is also advisable to not put the line on the line release from the spear... (the last bit) try these three tips and see how it touches perfection... The fact that it is consistent shows this anyway...
Interesting Basil, something i will try next time testing. wouldn't have thought the shooting line would influence it but its worth a try. cheers
I have seen quite a difference doing all these three tweaks... Tip, if you don't want to put the flopper under instead of on top just put a cone on the spear ... Huge difference in single flopper spearguns
i have a cone ine thw double flopper sigalsub shaft but not the devoto. I'll try that thanks for the tip
I have tried all three tips Basil shared (on B32 - 105sm) unfortunately without success. This speargun comes with 6.5 single flopper , shaft drops in similiar way 5-10sm to the left and down. @Gone Freediving did you manage to sort this out?
Cheers and just wondering how often do u come and dive tassie
Only been there once but will definitely go again
+Gone Freediving next time your in tassie should go for a spearfish show u a couple of spots
sounds great mate cheers
Where's Eden about
South coast of NSW
Nice
cheers
Good video, I enjoyed watching it, was wondering why the shaft drops down? it should not! specially at 360% stretch! So shots should be more accurate, however the shots is to the left as well which I think it got something to do with aiming, If I were you, I would use 7.5 Spring steel shaft and grind the tip down to pencil tip and use 2x14.5 Sigal extreme rubber @ 360% .... Spring steel shafts are more firmed.
Hey Ayman, i did further testing in slack water and the grouping again was consistent, however, straight, but with a similar drop on both 7mm and 7.5mm shafts. I thought it was due to shaft whip, but even when powered down i got the same result. I think i can tune the flopper to get the best result but i haven't tested that yet. As for the shaft, i love the sigalsub. Spring steel is great around the reef due to its strength but it rusts...
I am pretty sure you might get better result, if you try 14.5mm sigalsub small ID or even 15mm pure by cressi, and for shooting left I just found out why and it is due to a recoil and best way to avoid it is by costumise the handle, I use knead it, by Selley the Aqua purpose one.
i have tryied a custom polymorph plastic handle but i didnt get the same secure feel as with the original grip. in any case there are a few more setup i will try
