That time in 2021 when my skydio 2 decided to force land over top of water mid winter
I just found this footage on an old memory card of the time in 2021 when my skidoo 2 decided to force land over top of open water midwinter while I was e-foiling.  This was the last time I used my skydio 2 because I was in fear of losing it in the water.

@@phillefoil5969 cheers. I'm on 170ha and 32glide and struggling to learn to catch a wave... The sea in Croatia where I'm holiday is not good for surf but trying to catch bigger rolling waves with little luck 🤷🏼♂️

Well, there are many variables that determine run time… I’m a large rider at 220 pounds on a 200 HA.. I get about and hour and 20 min
What wing setup are you riding these days?
At 215 pounds I’m generally in a 200 Ha or a 170 HA.. .. paired with a 32 tail or a 38 if riding bigger conditions 🌊

how is the folding prop compare to regular prop when you are riding with power?
Maybe the slightest lack of power when initially getting up… otherwise, it’s great. I’ve ridden nothing but the foldy for a few years now.. it’s the best!

I just got a Foil in October and had planned to use it over the winter in MA. But the owner's manual says using it when the temp is 32F or lower can damage the battery. I looked up the manuals for Lift and Flight and they say the same thing. I assume since there's ice on the water in your video, the air temp is lower than 32F. How are you able to use yours without damaging it? Thx.
I’ve been riding in negative temps for 3 winters now. No issues so far..
