Alright, let's be honest: this is a super personal and intimate podcast for me (Brandon). Not only do I love this band deeply, but I've always resonated with the themes of grief, love, and leftism - almost to an obsessive extent frankly. Simply put, this was a big episode for me and I am grateful for it. Thanks for listening. Joe Talbot is the lead singer of IDLES, a rock band from Bristol, Eng...

sweet interview. i love warpaint so much and emily is just the nicest person ❤️
Ohh. Quisiera verlo traducido al castellano. Hay cosas que no entiendo!😢
Great interview guys... love Emily and Warpaint. ❤❤❤
@@jamessnook6715 thank you!
But but what if you didnt have a mother ?
Is Joe blaked here?!
He was sleepy, he even explains on the pod.
Great interview! Really enjoyed it a lot! ❤
Thanks for watching!
Such an excellent interview. I’m one of those fans since 2009 that Warpaint’s music has held thru some very dark times. Forever thankful for them. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for listening!
Hearing Emily say "We seem to hold them in their darkest times" has really made my day. I, too, have wanted to tell them so. Thank you, Warpaint.
Let’s make this very clear because apparently it needs to be said: trans rights = human rights. Any transphobic bigots in our comments are not welcome anywhere near our channel or content. And for all the trolls that have already decided that it’s worth being on the wrong side of history for your hot take, we say fuck fascism, fuck transphobia, fuck Trump, and forever fuck J. K. Rowling. And to all of our trans friends and family, we love you, we are with you, and have an amazing pride month 🏳️🌈
Emily "I'll talk about her let's go" - do wonder what she would have to say
That JK Rowling is a terrible transphobic bigot.
@@DeadDialect thank you (trans and long time fan here so it gets a bit scary sometimes)
@@Evy-1988 I understand, it’s hard out there and we’ve already had a few bigots pop up in the comments. Trans rights = human rights.
@@bellelacroix5938 fuck off bigot. You’re not welcome here. Didn’t you already see yourself out?
@@bellelacroix5938 happy pride month.
What a great conversation! Warpaint has been my favorite band since early 2010, and it was cool to hear how Radiate Like This was recorded and finished, and also how touring the EP made Emily realize she can hit notes better. I've loved seeing Warpaint's evolution all these years!
Glad you enjoyed it!
i love Emily 💜💜
She's so inspiring! I'm also a die-hard Warpaint fan! I've seen them live 5 times and met them twice. I can also attest that they are the kindest! I have to admit that it's quite sad to hear her mention no future plans for the band together. That doesn't reduce my curiosity for their solo upcoming projects!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The genuine "I'm proud of you guys" I felt that
Oof, we did too. Life is hard, you know? Grateful to catch up with our friend here after some time.
Thank you for this interview, great sentiments being discussed throughout, I feel Joe’s thoughts about fatherhood being a father of two myself. I’ve been a huge fan of IDLES since about 2018, saw them for the first time earlier this year at Electric Brixton, and seeing them again in December.
Fucking class, thanks lads !!!
Texas sucks but we need you!!! I hope I get to see you one day!!! SATX local
Texas represent 🤘
Great video too buddy, always nice hearing Joe talk. Great interview, a guy from South Wales <3
So happy you’re listening from all the way over there! Much love to you ❤
JOE MUN
Joe gives great interview. It will be sad if he doesn't at some point write a book on love, creativity and gratitude as this deserves a wider audience than music fans.
I would agree with that! And somehow it seems very likely. His voice deserves and warrants more than a few mediums.
this guy comes across like such a tool, so serious, get a grip
Half of your videos are you propping up proud boys founder, known fascist, and alt right extremist, Gavin McInnes. I’m guessing that your disdain for leftism is what brought you here to troll. To that we say: fuck fascism, fuck the proud boys, fuck Trump, and fuck you too.
@@DeadDialectthey come here because they have no music of their own.
@@DeadDialectbig up Joe but unlucky on not reading the comments
Joe Talbot is a good shit.
He is indeed, a good shit.
a 3 piece doing something unique is just the best live show if you ask me
While not the biggest FoT fan, I can respect their live sound and musicianship. I am a drummer myself and when I saw them live back in the early 2000s, they sounded solid. Great interview with what seems like a very standup dude.
How do i find this Sunrise band
Hey! Search sunrise and ammunition. Sunrise is for short. We’re on all the platforms
Other comment is not showing up. Search sunrise and ammunition. Sunrise is for short
I got into the fall of Troy from guitar hero and they ended up being one of my absolute favorite bands. I think these guys are straight up legendary.
I want a Doppelganger tour please. I need to see that album performed live.
man, such a great drummer. Long live tfot and their music!
great watch man, thanks! been revisiting TFOT recently and its cool to hear from Andrew more
I literally ask myself that same question -- how did they do that?! The music they made back then was, and still is, so epic. Their music means everything to me I cannot even put words to it!!! Andrew is a great person and amazing drummer, go check out one of their shows PLEASE you won't regret it!! I've been going since those early days 💕
that was beautiful man. I think you speak for a lot of us in saying how important the fall of troy is. They straight up changed the game for everyone who was inspired. And its so cool to see andrew recognize that circle of life aspect, where they were lifted up by the bands they admired too. It always felt like chon granite hands and sunrise were cut from the same cloth. Overall andrew is a solid fuckin dude and i love him for that. Also, I still can't believe they jammed tesseract. Thanks for the shoutout and spectacular podcast.

It's kinda scary how Joe hasn't aged a bit. He looks exactly the same as in the instrument documentary
Ataxia! ❤

Awesome!
Glad to see yall back at it
