How many inches from the front end of the the side rails are the pivot knuckles release knobs supposed to be set ? They were sent loosely floating. Also how many inches from the front end of side rails are the locking lever supposed to be? Thanks!

the outer two bolts in the top plate are closer together than the inner two, i made a display for the uca's and struts. looks like king made them equal.

Note that this placement location of the camera is in my opinion awful. Do not know why Toyota placed it in this spot. I actually have the OEM grill from Toyota and It totally ruined the function of the camera for me. You pretty much lose all parking functionality with this position. For example, I park my truck in my garage and it barely fits, so I have to park it as close to the wall as possible. It was easy with my original grill as the camera faced down and had your bumper in frame. This grill swap now made the front camera useless to me and I basically never use it anymore. If I don’t figure out a way of fixing this I will probably be putting the original back on.

I did this too. Couldnt find the part number for the trd uca, so I went with total chaos. Loving it so far.

Don't worry, your shocks will out last the motor and transmission. At least you'll have good shocks to sell to 3rd gen Tacomas

You should be more concerned about your transmission mysteriously vapor locking….

How would you access the winch clutch with this bumper if you had installed a winch?

Oh god that sounds terrible. Sounds like the truck is farting . The new tacomas are so disappointing without a v6 option .

What happened with the busted tophat from 4 months ago?

My truck just did the same exact thing with the front passenger strut. Mostly flat road at speed and then THUMP!

I just installed it to my 21 4Runner. I have to admit I was a little nervous to do this project. But going step by step watching the video just made it completely simple. I'm totally happy the way it turned out.

I have an older Tacoma, and was thinking up getting a newer one, but I'll wait a couple of years for Toyota to go back to simplicity and ruggedness with a V-6.

I was there on 19th,, I went there----anza borrego,, the east side of it toward the salton sea,, there was a sand dune hill for 4x4 off road fan club,, for atv stuff fun,,,, man.. I tested my ford suv there,, what the hack,,, it did not work for my ford because I don't equip with locker,, and the hill is too steep, and lurch 17 degrees to the side,, no way,,, man,,,,

Not surprised it broke. The 1st year of a completely new truck, is always going to have issues. The 2016, 3rd gen Taco. Was full of issues. Glad I still got my 21 Taco, TRD OR. With 125000mi on it.

So far all the small things that are happening to the Tacoma. Has come down to an assembler issue.. not triple checking the specs of tightening down bolts etc… This is probably the 7th Tacoma I watch here with something breaking

You are missing the front air vent screen just below the driver side head light, it's missing during the intro and through the whole video...

What you did was no did was no different than hitting a bump on the highway. No way it should have broken.

Had a super hard time trying to get installed. A shop couldn’t even get this to be installed. It seems like it doesn’t fit like if it’s to small. Idk might be just me having this problem.

8:08 - why am I trimming off the factory plastic.. why dont you just offset the mounting holes at those two locations. (Grade: "F")

You can find OEM grills for under 200. I don't see why it's worth going aftermarket just to save 50 bucks. Plus a lot of the aftermarket grills I've seen tend to fade quickly.

Why does this look like it was recorded with a cinema filter? Like the black are REALLY black and the reds are extremely vibrant.
