MARANGAL NA DALIT NG KATAGALUGAN (Noble Hymn of the Filipino People). Bonifacio loyalists join hearts and voices in singing what arguably would have become the nation’s national anthem had he lived. Ensemble

    Ang pagtutul sa Chico River Dam noong panahon ni Makliing Dulag ay malaking pagkakamali. Mayaman at progersibong rehiyon sana ngayon ang cordillera particularly sa Mt. Province at Kalinga Province.

      To be fair, in Vocabulario de la Lengua Tagala, "Tagalog" means "indio", basically the natives. I wonder how it is in other Spanish-era dictionaries for other Philippine languages.

    • @rommelmartinez5492
      @rommelmartinez5492 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At tayong mga "Pilipino" kung tawagin ngayon ay tinatawag na "Indio" ng mga Kastila, at ang mga "Filipino" ay ang mga Insulares o mga Kastila na dito na sa kapuluan isinilang. Ang tawag ni Pangulong Andres Bonifacio sa kapuluan ay "Katagalugan" dahil ang Filipinas ay pangalang ibinigay ng mga mananakop na Kastila bilang parangal sa kanilang prinsipe Felipe II (na naging hari nila).

    The term Tagalog referred to all the citizens of the Philippines regardless of province or region during this time in our history. Let us not be philosophical and stop being ironic.

    Excuse me sa nag-upload, yung english translation mo ng title ay mali dahil hindi lahat ng mga Pilipino ay Tagalog! Sa Katagalugan lang iyan at hindi sa buong Pilipinas. So, Noble Hymn of Tagalog People yan or Noble Hymn of Tagalog Land.

    • @kamjek
      @kamjek 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to read to understand what is meant by Katagalugan. I am not an admirer of the uploader but it seems the subtitle in english is correct. In the Katipunan papers, katagalugan refers to whole Philippines, and tagalog are the Filipinos. Anyway most of our ancestors or pre-spanish Filipinos are living near the rivers or waterways. Good enough to be called tagailog or whatever term in Philippine dialects. We are still haunted by our colonial past. This is one of our miseducation. We are too parochial in our view of our nationhood. see NCCA articles on Katipunan and Bonifacio... www.ncca.gov.ph/about-culture-and-arts/articles-on-c-n-a/article.php?i=5=1

    • @cjbaynas
      @cjbaynas 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      But you do realize that some live in landlocked areas such as the cordilleras... Also, it's an insult to non-Tagalog Filipinos...

    • @cjbaynas
      @cjbaynas 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      And the Katipunan is, of course, no doubt a Tagalog-Pampango-driven organization as most are from Tagalog-Pampango provinces... But, the Bisayas and the Zamboangenos have their own revolutions in the south, separate from the revolution of the Katipuneros... So, yeah, I know what they meant by Katagalugan because most members of the Katipunan are Tagalistas without recognizing the fact that other Filipinos won't like that...

    • @kamjek
      @kamjek 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      i think, even there are landlocked areas in our such as Cordilleras or in Mindanao, most of the people in that areas lived near waterways. If we could call them inhabitants near the river, we could use the term Tagailog, the origin of the word Tagalog. Our ancestors are Malayo-Polynesian and water is our life. You are just thinking of parochialism-Tagalistas is a label use to divide our people. And "other Filipinos won't like that"? who are this other Filipinos? Please be reminded that in 1896, those called Filipinos are Spanish born in the Philippines (the insulares). Natives are called Indios, that is why the propagandist struggled to be recognized as Filipinos. Katipunan is not really a Tagalog-Pampango driven organization but it is initiated in the seat of power at that time which is Manila. katipunan believed if Manila falls, the whole country follows.We don't have to use the divisive colonial terms now that were used by the Spaniards to quell the rebellion in 1896 to describe the Katipunan. Katipunan are not exclusive for the Tagalogs, there are Bisayan, Bicol, Ilocano, Pampango, Zambal members. In my home province of Bicol, a lot of Katipunan members were killed by the Spanish Tribunal de Cuchillo when they failed in the first attempt to liberate themselves.

    • @kamjek
      @kamjek 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree on unity in diversity, that's the only thing I would agree with you. You have a pointless argument on this "That means that those Egyptians living near the Nile river are also called "Tagalogs" based on your logic? " Your analogy is wrong because those people have a different language and would not definitely use "Tagalog" to describe their identity. Well, you may also include people in ancient Iraq, Harrapa and Mohendro Daro in India/Pakistan if that is your myopic concept. Though i would rebut you that in a sense it could be true. And I maybe glad if they will call themselves Tagalog! Anyway, again you are contradicting yourself, when you question 'why unite such people...' when in fact you are saying unity in diversity. The KKK ANB is the first to espoused the idea of Unity in Diversity which is internalized in their initiation that each applicant member understand the situation in our country before the Spanish colonization. Also again, you are wrong in equating our ethnicity with Japan and Germany. Japan has Ainu, the ethnic group that settled before the modern Japanese became the majority inhabitants of that country. We are homogeneous as to culture and language. Even though we have 87 major ethnic groups and a hundred dialects, our ancestors are Austronesians which culturally are seafarers, rice terraces builders and betel nut chewers. We have the same root language that in time evolved to a different dialects and languages. This evolution is due to our archipelagic structure. Right now, the real issue is Identity, Filipino identity which until now is being debated just like what we are doing. Hindi natin alam kung sino tayo at kung saan tayo pupunta--- or in Bicol, Dai ta aram kung siisay kita o sain kita maduman, I remain that the youtube uploader is correct is using the term Filipino.
