Those days where when GH had it's premier cast! And for those who aren't or weren't aware, that cast included the awesome Rick Springfield for a couple years before he left in early 1983! It was his exposure on GH that helped generate the popularity of "Jessie's Girl" during the summer of 1981 which made him globally known! I remember well about those days while i was in grade school (was in between 3rd and 4th grade that summer) because my mother was the biggest GH fan i knew! I dont think she missed a day of it for a couple decades stretch!

It was a good day when they rolled out the long closing credits. Really, for all of them. AMC, ONE LIFE, RYAN’S, EDGE. Even LOVING. They all had epic closing credits. So theatrical.

It's wild that Bobbie was thinking of the "girl code" now, when back in the 70s, with Scott, all bets were off! They're characters came a long way here. I miss this era. I miss a lot of these characters. I wish Tony Geary had come back before Jacklyn Zeman had passed and there had been some resolution to Luke and Laura as well. The story-telling here was commendable, and I struggle to watch GH these days. I make occasional glimpses, but I don't have the same desire as I did back in the day.

Funny how people considered this period of GH to be “boring” when you look at how the show is now.

Before the Spencers and the Cassadines got sidelined in favor of the mob! This GH had its problems for sure, but it was still good in areas.

Started watching AMC in the early 80s as a kid with mom. I loved this original theme and reading the names of the characters just now I remembered them all. These scenes at the end with no dialogue were great and made you feel like Pine Valley was real lol

This was probably the only time Luke interacted with Carly during Tamara Braun's time playing Carly. I always thought that Sarah Brown and Laura Wright were the only actresses that played Carly that had interactions with Luke.
