Hey guys hope all are doing well! Just wanted to make a quick vid on how to restore your headlights. The results came out great & I dig them a lot more now. The materials I used were 1500 Grit sandpaper - Wet sand 10-15 minutes on each headlight Followed up by 2000 Grit sandpaper - Wet sand 20-25 minutes on each headlight. jus saw this video. so basically if I have a 2008 sti I can get a 2012 front bumper and install it without having to replace the headlights or fenders?

How did you place the wire plugged in the fuse box? Did you tuck in anywhere specific? I’m stalking mine soon and was wondering if leaving this wire exposed would cause any damage.
It's weird because where it's supposed to connect there's no clip or anything of that sort. So the location you see in the video is where it goes. You can use tape or something along the lines of that to secure it down. & No need to adjust anything on the lights as they already come set from factory.

My friend use to make them but he stopped because they weren't selling like he thought. He ended up giving me what he had & I think I have like 8 or 9 STI ones. & 12 WRX ones. I'd be happy to sell you one.

I’ve always wondered something. Would it be possible to ever change the noise the car makes when you hit the lock and unlock button?
Yeah I've seen people change to say " bruh" 😂 I'm sure you can change it to anything you want. I just don't know how or ever taken the time to look into it.
Did you have factory hid prior? Or halogen?
HID's I believe🤔 I'm currently using those at the moment actually. I ended up putting these Vlands on my 09 outback sport 😂

@@Sti_tad3aso OEM headlights work well when the lenses are clear. But I just like these aftermarket Vlands. & They're bright at night as well.
aye bruh how your shi got that little strobe/ flickering feature like that. Looks pretty cool, does all VLAND headlights do that for the impreza?
It's just the effect it gives off on camera. You ever see that effect on videos of supercars?

Hey mate, how did you end up getting the little wire to fit in the fuse box? it seems like it keeps popping out as theres no clips or anything to secure them.
I know what you mean, I kinda just set it in there the best I could & put the fuse cover back on over it. No issues since then
I'm always sad when I see these bumper conversions (and 99% of the time I see it, it's always done to an '09 for whatever reason). I mean, I'm definitely happy you love it, but I've always preferred the original bumper because the refresh ruins some of the lines the car has, like how the bottom of the headlights perfectly line up with the D shape of the original grill.
Yeah I mean I liked it to some extent. But the car just seemed smaller & too curvy in the front to me. Plus the newer bumper has more of a pop to it. Also like how there's more lips available then the older bumper. There are some builds out there with the older one & they actually look damn good. So I'll give ya that 😂
@@czuhh309 The new bulges at the corners certainly remove those curves, straightening out the edges to give the car a more aggressive look - not to mention ditching all of the unpainted plastic. I can see why many people strongly prefer the new bumper as a result. I did like it at first since my initial exposure to this generation was my buddy's 2011 WRX sedan a decade ago, but once I started shopping for an STi hatch several years back, I quickly realized the old bumper (and a bunch of other stuff in the OG model) spoke to me more, so I got a 2010 as it has the updated interior as well.
Where did you purchase your Vland lights from?
I don't remember exactly which website. I just searched them up on google & found the best price available.
For the fitment you can try pushing the headlight to the left and then tighten the bolts down. Hope this helps! There’s a certain level of ‘adjustability’ with them

I think the factory HID's will always be better in my opinion. But these are just as good, they're LEDs but they're bright & so are the high beams.

They're LEDs & they're actually pretty bright at night. High beams too 8/10 I recommend though 🔥

hey man just checked out the brand but the fitment in your lights might be off because you bought a pair for the wrx but you got a wrx sti so it was built for the wrx' fitment nothing wrong tho still works, still fits, and still looks clean

I still have not gotten fog lights yet, that will probably be one of the last items I will get. & I do not have any fender liners unfortunately. Tires rubbed them off 😐

If it's an 09 WRX not STI then no, it won't fit. If it's an 09 STI it will fit. I've seen people get sti fenders for their 09 WRX & slap on 11-14 WRX bumper & it actually looks great.

No, it's a perfect fit. Although I haven't gotten fog lights yet therefore can't tell you how well they'll fit since it's an 08.

@@tupou1457 Locally, someone was selling a black one from a 2013 sti sedan. I think theres a website called partify where you can order painted bumpers. I've seen good reviews from them.

Yeah I don't think they come painted from factory. Person who I purchased the bumper & grill from had said that he paint matched the grill black.

Yes of course, just take care of them & keep up on maintenance. My subie has been running for about a solid 5 years.
