I haven't listened in awhile your playing was true to the way this precious hymn should sound.I was taught to play the violin,I'm self taught on piano.Almost all hymns are 1,4,and 5 chords.If your in the key of c the 1 chord is c,the 4 chord is f and the 5 chord is g.You can add other chords also. I believe The Old Rugged Cross which is one of my favorite hymns is in the key of b flat.The one chord is b flat, the 4 chord is e flat and the 5 chord is f. There is a pattern that is not difficult to learn.If you could learn this system you would not have to concentrate on your left hand as much. Learning the circle of fifths would help tremendously.I have three sons and taught two of them the circle of fifths at ten years old.This would help you a great deal with relative pitch and sight reading.You would not have to worry about extreme detail and would help relieve any stress.May our wonderful Lord bless you.
