When I see the title "Top 10-The Best Singers of All Time", I expect a list of artists ranked according to their singing ability. This list is not that. It goes far beyond that. It goes to influence. Therefore, to include as an "Honorable Mention" Bob Dylan as a singer is an injustice to the list. To include Dylan as an influencer, he'd be in the top 10. If you include an artist who could do anything with his/her voice you have to rate Paul McCartney as number 1. No one could sing songs like "Eleanor Rigby", "Here There and Everywhere", and "Yesterday" and follow them up with "Helter Skelter"and "Oh Darling". No one. Elvis would be a close second. Having a beautiful voice is one thing but being able to sing different types of songs/music is the magic.

Micheal was a great performer but based most of his act on what Elvis had done. See "Elvis Presley and Micheal Jackson/I got a Feeling in My Body'. Micheal had natural ability and dancing excellence but his inspiration was Elvis no matter how he denied it. He even married Elvis daughter Lisa, and when Elvis died he hired his costume designer and some of his musicians. We all are inspired by someone, Elvis was a true original who was inspired by his black neighborhood churches and his southern gospel roots..

Elvis hag it all.Talent, voice, humble and generous soul. charisma, presence, looks,,smile, humor, and entertainer. He was a good American son who loved and took care of his parents, a good American patriot who loved his country and served his country dutifully.He loved his fans and treated them respectfully' I also believed he loved his God and savoir but fell short of God's glory just like every other human. The blacks didn't like him to be called the king of rock, but to his white fans, he was. His white fans are the ones who made him famous and he in turn made their music famous to us. He could take anybody's song and put his charm on it and make it more popular. He knew he had been given so much from God and knew he wouldn't be anywhere without God and his fans and wanted his fans to have the best of him. He will always be number one.

Any rank list of this kind is subject of criticism. But putting a group (The Beatles) in line with individual singers who sometimes are group members (Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury..) in a list titled "The Best Singers..." is weird. Plus: If it is a list of the best singers of ALL TIME, you're definitely missing a lot of wonderful opera singers. Besides the Beatles, I would definitely kick Bob Marley from the list. He impressed me as an artist and as a person, but his singing abilities were good, but far from outstanding. I'm missing some female singers on the list, in particular Janis Joplin and Kate Bush. I also think that singers like Adele, Amy Winehouse, Dionne Warwick, Stevie Nicks maybe even Diana Ross deserved more an honorary mention than Bob Dylan or Chuck Berry (only regarding their vocal abilities, not as their influence as artists). Anyway, eight out of ten names indisputedly remain on this list. Not bad.

Why has John Farnham not been feature if this is world icons. John Farnham is THE VOICE and considered as one of\if not the best voice ever. Can sing any style of music and better than the originals; eg Robert Plant, The Beatles, ACDC. He is adored by Tom Jones, Celine Dion, Richard Marx, Sammy Davis Jr, Ray Charles. He is huge on You Tube reactor. He went to America but the producers didnt know how to sell John because the could catorgorise him. So John left, it was America loss and our gain. Big mistake America....HUGE 😂

John Farnham is GOAT when us comes to the best voice in the world. John has had a massive influence in Australia for 6 decades. John was Freddie Mercury and Queens choice replacement fie when Feddie passed away, John declined as ge us a family man and didn't want to ve away from his family. He totally demolished Robert Plants song Black Dog in just a warm up. His rendition of HELP was viewed by John Lennon 6 month before he died. John L and Paul both said they preferred John Farnhams was better. He is adored\sung with Tom Jones, Ray Charles, Queen, Richard Marx's, Tina Turner, Vanessa Fields, Sammy Davis Jr, Celine Dion, Linol Ritchie, Jimmy Barnes, Brian May, Human Nature, Olivia Newton John. John was the support act for Fleetwood Mac, but Stevie Nicks refused to sing onstage after John as he was too good. John can sing 20 styles of music perfectly, has a high octave, has never sung a bad note in his 6 decades, actor, comedian. He is adored as the most humble, kind, giving, down to earth, a humanitarian, all round good guys. His audience are spell bound by him, he always had the best in the business in his band. They would stay with him for decades and decades and were totally loyal to John. Recently a movie was made on John which has been a bix office hit and broke many records in Australia. Has the highest selling records ever and voted by his peers as the best singer ever in Australia. He did go to America but they did know how to categorise John due to versatility. That was America dumb loss. He is known as THE VOICE or THE GOAT. Even at 70 his voice was just as good as ever. Is is huge now days on You Tube with American's and people all around the discovering John and scratch ing their heads asvto why they had not heard of John. That is all now changing. Do your self a favour. Be prepared to have your music world turned upside down. Visit the rabbit hole of John Farnham you will be there for years. Its is my pleasure :)
