Max steer angle is simple - it’s just how much your front wheels can turn from straight until full lock. 60 is useful for drifting where you want a lot, either for big drifts or just to be able to recover more easily. 40 is more precise for racing, especially on low speed turns like on aoyama where steering too much easily leads to understeer, but it also kinda means you have to physically turn your wheel more to steer the same amount at higher speeds (since that’s when the steering limiter of the game kicks in, it makes your steering less sensitive almost, so adjusting steering angle can be useful to combat that too, if nothing else). Ackerman is a little more complicated but it’s basically how much your front wheels get misaligned as you turn in. Honestly this confuses me too, but I suppose 0 just means they don’t misalign at all and this is a good setting for sharp low speed turns (like touge). As you go towards 1 the outer wheel would steer into the turn more than the inside wheel, which in part helps your car to turn in better at high speeds where there’s little steering to begin with (this is why this isn’t a good setting for lower speeds, it can cause more understeer than help you turn in faster). Honestly, most of the time I leave this setting stock on my cars, 0.2 seems like a happy medium between fast and slow turns. Slightly more like up to .4 or .6 seems to make my drift cars smoother too, but don’t take my word on it because I suck at drifting lol

Good thing you asked! And thanks! It’s a bit of a story really but I’ll try to keep it short. Back in 2019 we used to hold 350 hp touge races. It’s been a long while since then and Pans basically hadn’t touched his 22B this entire time and I just happened to run into him on the Ring, driving that touge tuned 22B several years after all that happened. I also was driving the 22B but fully upgraded and I just thought, why not get back into 350 again. Plus I’d never driven the 346 hp 22B round the Nordschleife so I was curious. As an added challenge for me Pansetaki didn’t have any camber so to make things fair I went with that too. I’m not used to driving camberless, I use it in all my tunes so this was unusual. Basically I wanted to try something different with the races we had and I think this was our best one.

@@ej22_gc86 I also apply negative camber at the front of every car that I have in the game, it's extremely useful when you want to fight understeer when reaching the apex of the corner.

I have to admit, I did also try to pump up the rear tyres a little but it was barely even noticeable, I needed more pressure to make a real difference like with camber lol

@@ej22_gc86 I was used to -2.8 front and rear, a friend suggested reducing the neg camber at the rear to -1.0 and things improved a lot with a lot of cars. They felt less oversteery and more balanced.

It kind of does drift like an Arab all by itself. XD

Rear-weight bias, awkwardly soft suspension, and a ride height so high that a person, hanging right under the Widowmaker, would not have their back touched by the surface. Even worse, likely thin tires supporting uneasy rates of wheel torque and power. This Porsche model is meant to be unbalanced; to tame this in stock form is basically unnecessary luck. If for any general purpose, it is to mess around with high power in a fragile setting. Nevertheless, an unusually inspiring and nostalgic engineering phenomenon.

I suppose it’s the MK8 slides you’re talking about and it does look awesome when done right. Honestly it’s one of the 2 MK games I’m half decent at lol It’s only just a button press-and-hold that literally makes you drift though, no braking involved. You only brake for really tight turns in 150/200cc races so as to make through safely. Otherwise you never have to brake XD
